No way Infantino will pull the WC from the US. A cruel country run by a dictator is right up his street!

Is it similar to the boycott of the RNLI where their subscriptions went up after Farage et al. attacked them for preventing brown people from drowning?

The singing (or, in many cases, the butchering) of the National Anthem at non-international sports in the US is nuts. But sport has got quite "milliatary-ised" over there. I'm uncomfortable with the National Anthem at the FA Cup final. Just needs Abide With Me!

Yeah, I'd happily not go to any of those with you!

His ability to fall over with minimal contact, or in the 2nd leg, 2 yards from a player, is his main talent. It's an extraordinary one in its success rate, but he's no better than what we've got. Harsh from Sunderland, letting him go though. I thought they'd give him a season in the PL.

I read on here yesterday that he was eyeing up a move to the Bundesliga.

You mean the player who only turned up in Nottingham to sign his contract and will never return to the City Ground!

That's the fella. I've seen £5m mentioned, but I can't see us paying that for a backup to MVE. Of course, it could be £5m like Simms was £8m!

Talking of which..... www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/footba...

I've seen that in a couple of places too. Also, the Villa RB that was on loan at Preston. But the money they are talking about, I would think he would be a replacement for MVE. Have we been linked with Lawrence Shankland yet this summer?

No idea if he's any good but Jerolldino Armandtrading at Excelsior has got a cracking name! 😂

Only if we can ensure the WC somehow falls into his second season!

I can make some up if you. Most "pundits" seem to. I'll Google some relatively obscure striker at a Dutch club and start the rumour!? 🤣

When Barry said Andorra v England didn't matter, did he know the England players were listening to the pod and took his words to heart?

I'm not too bothered about this "mini-window." Infantino has only created it, so Ronaldo can transfer to a club to play in Gianni's vanity project! And most rumours turn out to be bollocks (especially from Alan Nixon), so until I see a picture of them through a hedge, I'm not interested! 🤣 #PUSB

I'm not sure if he's trying to ruin his boot or his foot! If you watch the 7 come in afterwards, he does tread on his toe!

Ed Moses wouldn't have hurdled that last challenge! 😂 Not quite the same level, but when EMC set up the winner against Hull, he rode a couple of challenges like that. As you say, a dying art !

If you watched the game, you wouldn't have been at all shocked by it! Hardly created a significant chance!

England just aren't as good as people make out! Kane is a great goal scorer, Bellingham may become world-class, but the rest are just average to quite good. And of course, a shoe in win at the end of long season is always going to be a bit shit!

Not illustrious company to be in as an England manager!

However, the finals will be the proving ground for Teuchal, but I just can't see England winning it under him. Not all down to him, but picking the likes of Henderson and Burn won't have Spain quivering in their boots!

I like it. I'd be happy if the club used that.

Who knows with UEFA. I would say Textor has less influence on Palace than Marinakis does at Forest even though he's set up the "blind trust." He's still the decision maker so that's all ok with UEFA. It's all farcical, really. Fingers crossed for you!
comment in response to post
I do as well, but hopefully he will get his full payoff (reported at £4m) and then watch another manager "succeed" by finishing 4th-7th! Because that's what it seem Levy wants!
comment in response to post
But Textor has no real influence at Palace, does he? I thought the 3 owners and Parrish had 1 vote each, and Parrish has the deciding vote if it's split. So if Textor said "let's lose to Lyon" the other 3 would tell him to fuck off! It's that simple isn't it? Or should be!

Social media neatly summed up there, Chris! Juicy (paid) gossip sells more than hard facts!

I do wonder/worry why people with absolutely no affiliation with the club or town want to buy clubs at that level. They're not going to make money or have any tangible success. It may be the reasons they say and hopefully, it all works out, but.......

A football legend, you say? Because that worked sooooo well the last time one of those ran UEFA!

He's just a crook, isn't he? At whatever level you look at it, he's a crook!

Ah the whole "aah, Scholesy, he can't tackle" followed by chuckles by the pundit. Oh, he could tackle he was also a nasty little fucker.
comment in response to post
Yeah, he definitely seems a "wrong un". Maybe not quite a Russell Brand vibe, but if something broke about Walliams, I'd just think "well, of course".

I'm going to be that pedant - AFC Bournemouth should be top!

Yes. The supporters are fully aware of what Leicester has done over the years and very few speak out about it. Many were positively gloating that they avoided charges last season. So the chickens are coming home to roost! This is not a uniquely Leicester issue. Fans want clubs to spend big!
