What a weird take for that person to have, though. That's like saying comic book writing is harder than movie script writing - while possibly true, the skill sets are so distinct as to make comparison more about the people involved than any objective metric.

I'm actually something of a 4e apologist, but that's one of the few criticisms of the system I think is actually valid. The logic of using video game language to jump the gap makes sense, but it does obfuscate anything that isn't related to tactical play.
