Aw, thank you for the shoutout! ✨

New bottles do not mean new pricing at this time!
Keeping the pricing the same for now and hoping to continue to do so, though the ever-changing realities of global trade may impact that in the future. Will give advance warning of any pricing changes down the line, if it has to happen!

Site fully reopening in a few days with returning stuff and new stuff. About half of the sale orders already en route, the rest to follow shortly!

(Note: to combine with prior orders, use code ADDONSHIPPING to zero out the shipping charge on add'l orders.)

Oh nooo!! Sorry about that. I'm going to get one final run of it stocked soon.

NOTE: the above update is just for my specific situation and location. Almost every other country, aside from Mexico and us, is dealing with massive changes and most US small businesses are also going to get hit hard with supply/cost increases.
It's still a shit sandwich overall.

CONFIRMED via Exec Order:
- no change to current tariff exemption (for my category)
- no change at this time to the $800 de minimis (they are still getting processes in place to handle how to charge and collect that, as it would be a massive undertaking.)
US orders continue as before for now!

Forgot to update this! Shopify came back after a few hours - updated the order processing page this morning. All clear again!
Shopify itself is still a problematic entity - and one I'm prepaid for until October. Stuck with it for a while....

Thank you, Emma! It's pretty wild. The past few months have turned over pretty much any normalcy or ability to plan very far ahead. One way or another, we'll muddle through! ❤️

It's been sector by sector for Canada. Steel, auto, etc. And: even if that turns out to be wrong, so far word on the street is no De Minimis change (*unconfirmed as of this post*). That would mean that even if there were a 25% tariff imposed, packages under $800 would still be able to be sent.

OK, it's not the Exec Order but official White House factsheet says no change in the tariff actions for goods coming in from Canada, meaning that sweeping global 10% & up tariff is not hitting Canada/Mexico & actions/negotiations between these 3 countries will remain separate for now. ⬇️

That means, for me, still possible bottle or label changes, as well as some aromatic materials sometimes being harder to source (meaning any scents using those may or may not be able to be stocked).
Patience and flexibility are key, on all fronts!

Whether there are tariff changes for my US customers or not, one thing is likely: supply chains are going to get way more chaotic globally in the short- to middle-term at least.
This could impact all kinds of things in unpredictable ways. Staying flexible as possible to navigate those waters.

Right now, according to a "Senior White House official" the USMCA/CUSMA exemption will be in place, so there is news floating around about that, but I'm not hanging my hat on it until we see the wording of the EOs.
Coffee break and a snack. More in a bit!

If the De minimis stays, we're good. If it stays but is reduced, even as low as $100, we're good (I can always split up large order to sep packages).
If the USMCA/CUSMA exemption exists, we're good. Otherwise, maybe anywhere from 10-25% tariffs.
Keeping an eye on things over the coming hours.

Now, Exec Orders might change both of these things, which we'll know soon (finally finished blathering & headed over to the EO signing desk).

What I know right now, in advance of seeing whatever actual Executive Orders get signed today, as concerns my US peeps:
- what I sell falls under the exemptions carved out for USMCA/CUSMA, meaning tariff-free *unless that changes*
- De minimis of $800 for packages into US may also stay
(more ⬇️)

OMG this commentator just said T was holding up a prop chart in the rose garden here "like he was trying to sell you a timeshare in Florida" 💀

LOL, CBC just cut him off. The signal to noise ratio was wild.
Once he *eventually* gets to the Executive Orders, we might know something beyond the vague info from the chart that almost blew out of his hands. We'll see...

Or: Big Bang Theory, only because the Barenaked Ladies are the most overrated Canadian export to date. (Not the worst, that's Tom Green, but definitely the most overrated.)

Season 1 version, yes. It got mildly less grating in later seasons.
My vote ultimately goes to Charles in Charge. Creepy *and* annoying.

A few that came in after midnight or during the day today. If the tariff situation for under-$800 orders does not change tomorrow, those will be processed normally. If it does, I'll be in touch with individual customers to see how they want to proceed.
Non-US orders going out later this week.

Srsly, this trade war has more plot twists than a daytime soap opera. And I'm sure there are more to come... This is so goddamn stupid.

(Checked and yes perfume falls under the agreement according to what I am reading on the USTR dot gov site.)

And now the tariffs are suspended, at least for some things. Who the eff even knows what is going to happen next. Checking if perfume falls under CUSMA/USMCA & would be exempt until at least April. We'll see -- and if de minimis still doesn't change, that may not matter, but better to know for sure.
