A bit sad, but also a bit of testament to this guy's perseverance and craftsmanship that he still built his car and ran it across the continent.

The Georgia Street bus lanes simply do not seem to exist. Everyone drives in them.

The original builder sadly passed away last year, but someone is still driving it around Victoria. Here's some vintage articles I found via Facebook and Reddit. And more details from an archived 2007 Globe & Mail article: web.archive.org/web/20160828...

Without doing any research, it looks very much like Futura. Neutraface might be a good free alternative.

• en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firesto...
• Guillaume Pierret directed the Lost Bullet action movie trilogy
• Tony Gilroy wrote a bunch of Andor episodes and Michael Clayton (among other things)
All three bullet points are current obsessions of mine.

Yeah, the Clipper in theory would be great but the timing is a bit lousy. They sometimes have good package deals with hotels too. But regardless: I’m avoiding travel south for awhile.
Somehow I’ve lived here for 35 years and never taken the Coho!

If I want to go see an MLB game, it seems like it’d be a lot easier to go to Toronto instead of Seattle.

The 12 year old made two double plays tonight *and* they were so dialled in that they braked early because they saw the SUV driver wasn't paying attention.

And now I’ve just seen the aftermath of a cyclist getting hit by a motorist in the Fort St *protected* bike lane.

Now this bus driver just drag raced another bus down Douglas. This is what I get for taking the 11. It’s complete madness compared to the 7.

I do not watch The Last of Us, but my wife has informed me that the world ends in 2003 in the show. So in this universe, Seattle got light rail years earlier.
