Nice sentiment and graphic of reaching for the moon... and actually catching it. Love it, thanks for sharing!

Ah, if only the threat of withholding our vote would have an impact on those who are supposed to represent us. But then, they would have to notice... or care. What to do, what to do... π€ Good fable, btw.

Calling The Gulf of Mexico "the Gulf of America" reduces credibility for anyone who says it, even for NOAA. Sorry to see it happen.

Amazing photograph! This strawberry moon even looks delicious. Nice work!

Yes, they made all this possible instead of standing for what they pretended to be. That's when I started to leave them in the dust and voted for the actual progressive woman on the ballot. (Not HRC!)

We must try. The minute they realize they could lose their position, they might pay attention. On the other hand, they could be in a safe district. And money is more of a determining factor rather than our wellbeing in that case. Still, we must not let up. β

Attacking blue states is the furtherance of maintaining an "us vs. them" narrative in order to increase and maintain power, which is probably why red states are being told that they are the patriotic ones. Ms. Noem (former Gov of So Dak and "a real piece of work") was chosen for her views on this.

Powerful speech! I saw it on YouTube. Keep speaking out wherever you can. This kind of thing cannot be obfuscated, no matter how much cover and diversion others throw at it. β

Good picture of the sun in haze. I was amazed to see the sun all red the other day. I remain inside for now, hoping for some rain.

I noticed that in your videos. And thanks for those, by the way. They are interesting and insightful to listen to.

I think those people believe they control the Lathe of Heaven. (see Ursula K. Le Guin novel) Change reality by fevered dreams? I certainly hope not!

It's a long distance selfie. Love it!

I became so disappointed, too. Back then, they also told us we would get more leisure time as we gained more automation and became more productive. Greed won out and keeps us on that crazy treadmill longer than we want!

Richard Medhurst has such eye-opening info. I think people need to hear more from him more often. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you, and back at ya! Solidarity has become increasingly important, especially nowadays. β

Spot on, especially about the red line. I've said that it's not a purity test (as some of them accuse us of), it's a red line crossed.

That's a good mental exercise for the day. Offhand, I remember a Stargate SG1 episode and the more recent Discovery where what's-his-name plays Harry Mudd. And now the trekkie in me emerges again!

I think it's amazing we can still communicate with the Voyagers. Thanks for the link, it made my day!

I heard that Ben and Jerry's was bought out by Unilever, but they remain on the board. Those two don't have control of where their product is shipped. I was disappointed.

I know how you feel. I hate those anxiety-filled days when you wait for something bad to happen. Here's hoping it's a good kind of edgy weird!

You know you've done something right when you stir up a hornet's nest like these reactive replies. Nice turn of the usual point of view! π

I watched it this morning. Very enjoyable interview from one of my favorite shows. I recommend Empire Files to anyone who sees this. π

And the Democrats could have done more in the past, had they stepped up to the task. That is how they lose the support and respect to effect the changes we all need. Sigh.

Thanks for the link, it was an interesting article. I just had to bookmark the site for returning later for more. Also got sidetracked by another article about the Pacific Northwest, where I used to live.

Sometimes, I have this nagging thought that it's being crashed on purpose. If it's the only way to rule in totality, he will implement scorched Earth policies and rule with an iron fist over the ashes. (Just a fear I have from time to time)

Nice! I sometimes forget how calming it can be to get out there in places like the photos. Also, I think capitalism will eventually go, albeit in a very messy way. Enjoying and appreciating nature today!

It's enough to keep a person away from the Democratic Party. I was fuming, as well. Among the many pertinent quotes, here's one I like:
βThe world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.β β Albert Einstein

And Tulsi was once considered a progressive, now just one of the many opportunists. How easily we are deceived, even in these recent times. Thanks go to Caitlin, who puts things in true perspective.

It is heartening to see many others here who understand tariffs and the damage the Orange Ogre is doing to our economy in the US. (and elsewhere) Thanks and keep on speaking out!

One of my absolute favorites in movies of the 80s. And the ending song, Everybody Wants To Rule the World by Tears For Fears, is the cherry on top of this classic! It's time to watch it again for the nth time. π§ͺπ€

So true. If this nation becomes a vaccine desert, they want more human stock because the mortality rate will increase and life span will decrease... even more than it has already. And all with the degradation of schools' ability to teach students to think critically.

Not fooled. Many of us already knew their objective. We stand in solidarity against all those who would decimate our social safety net, and against all those who enable this to continue. No lame excuses allowed. Who's with us? β

Yes, all those and more. Even if the Gov identifies a couple of things, words without action become meaningless. This is, in part, how to make a demexit happen.

And I'll bet some could come up with really good slogans, like giving his constituents the personal touch. Would like to see a contest started. Entertaining!
