Yup! I loved all of her work. I wasn’t aware that she put a lot of effort into being accurate. That just makes me love her work more :)

So glad you can finally pack it all away. Here is hoping you never need to pull it out of storage.

Interestingly, yes - but, I have a propensity for going WAY back as I am fascinated by ancient Sumer and the surrounding area. Particularly King Sargon of Akkad and his daughter Enheduanna (first known author by name). That particular time frame has always fascinated me.

I used to inhale Victoria Holt’s books; though, I hazard they depart quite heavily from legitimate historical realities. Wouldn’t mind getting my hands on more accurate historical tales - ones that are well researched and hold close to what we know of the times.

Excellent point!! I would be dead 1000 times over if my glasses didn’t make it with me as I can barely see without them. Much less being able to read.

Not to be stupid or rude; but, what is bad about offering a safe space for homeless to camp with available medical and mental care? I mean, I could see it as a concentration camp if they weren’t allowed to leave and wander as they will; but, from what I see, it is not that? What am I missing?

My books are in pristine condition & often very much appreciated by my library when I purge my stacks every few years of all duplicates and fiction. They hit me up just recently asking me what was coming this spring. So, people should ask their local library how best they can help as it varies.
