The Trump administration is canceling presentations including book talks on important civil rights issues at the Carter Center & possibly elsewhere. Let’s celebrate these authors by buying & reading their books. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/22/a...

This is 100%. Almost everything in the constitution is general or implied. The document literally says there's going to be a post office and congress is in charge of setting it up, deciding what it's rules are.

“A Tesla driver was killed in a fiery crash after going triple-digit speeds in Pierce County,”prompting a “warning about the danger of electric vehicles catching fire in similar incidents…’We usually only have seconds to help these victims when vehicles do catch fire,’” a deputy said. 1/

Pope Francis is in “critical condition,” the Vatican said Saturday, after a “prolonged asthmatic crisis” and a low platelet count. They said he was alert and sitting in an armchair, but suffering more pain than the day before.

@hcrichardson.bsky.social I remember being fascinated with your history talk on the beginnings of the post office. Wondering about Trump dissolving the board and connecting it to finance.

DOGE’s expenses have risen above 40 million, with weekly costs now exceeding 10 million. We will release an updated DOGE staff list soon.

Just like we shouldn’t be firing FAA employees when commercial airliners are flipping upside down.

Last night's Pentagon massacre is much more than realized. Not just firing the black CJCS and first woman CNO but all the senior JAG officers and hiring a man who just joined 3 different crypto firms tied to Kushner and Thiel as Chairman. I did a deep dive into it open.substack.com/pub/fpwellma...

PIERS: “How could Zelensky have an election in the middle of a war?” TUCKER: “How did FDR?” PIERS: “Nobody had invaded America.” 🎯 (Reminder — Not holding elections during wartime is not new: www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/ukrain...)

They've gone from threatening to abandon Ukraine if it doesn't pay up to outright threatening to sabotage the entire country. Aren't we all proud of America? Isn't it great to see our country so great again?

They are telling us, out loud, exactly how the 2026/28 elections will not be free & fair. They will go after vote by mail (bsky.app/profile/mira...). They will go after computer voting. They will then say we can't count all the paper ballots because it's taking too long & there must be fraud. Etc.

Governor Mills doesn’t suffer fools lightly, and it appears she has even less tolerance for bullies. (And as a former attorney general, she knows what she’s talking about.)

wait this can't be right, we have two business geniuses at the helm

Trump and Musk want to rob Americans blind. Rep. Joe Neguse and Jen Rubin discuss the proposed $800 billion budget cut—targeting nearly all social safety new programs.

More Great News That’s Bad For Trump As we wrap up another week of the Trump and Musk horror show, it’s nice to be able to share some more great news with everyone. My hope is that this gives you at least some sort of relief from their chaos—even if just for a moment.

John Fetterman’s staff are leaving him in droves and there are awful rumors about how he treats them. Are we sure he’s not just three Kyrsten Sinemas sitting on each other’s shoulders in a hoodie? Our latest:

Week 5 🇺🇸

There is a wave of anger building across the entire country. People are already becoming fed up with Trump and Musk. These algorithms can try to hide it all they want, but they won’t be able to avoid reality for long.

US consumer sentiment dropped more than expected in February to a 15-month low and inflation expectations rocketed as households worried that President Donald Trump's plans for steep and broad-based tariffs would eat into their purchasing power reut.rs/41gv4Aq

It isn’t just that they care more about restricting abortion than they do about maternal health ramifications of those policies. They literally don’t care about protecting maternal health.

From my interview with Beto O’Rourke: “Your great, great grandkids are gonna say: ‘what did you do? Did you just step back and let it happen...Did you wait for some cavalry to ride to our rescue? Or did you get up and get after it, and do whatever you could with what you had, where you were?’”

Holy crap. At his town hall last night, Rep. Rich McCormick compared *his own constituents* who asked him tough and fair questions to January 6 insurrectionists
