I'm a revival fan, in since 2005. Still working my way through the og. Doctor Who is sometimes the silliest and sometimes the best. Whatever the script, though, I've thought every Doctor gave a worthy performance.

Nah, but here's the thing. I was responding to the current Bad Take before I knew it even existed. B/c, ya know, lots of other people have it. I think I heard some version of it in a dndtuber video a couple of days ago and it festered in my head til I dispelled it. You sit pretty, I'ma take aim.

Like, all disclaimer, I know I'm the unmotivated wastrel who doesn't publish but the take that systems are easy to write and the only worthwhile games have quickstarts and adventures and such reinforces my notion that no one will care if I ever do publish. B/c I'm not doing that. That's ok.

Watching Eric Northman pretend to be a free willed security robot, I was inspired to go back and finally finish True Blood (11 yrs later). I had abandoned it early in its 6th season. Everyone said it had a terrible ending but I don't think that's right. It had an awful 6th season. Show ended fine.

Despite my first character being a ninja and the fact that I am decidedly a Wizard type player, I wasn't a cemented dnd or ttrpg fan until AD&D 2nd Edition brought me the Psionicist. It being a core part of my personal experience is why I default to genre mixing.

I can barely make progress on my games. I can't imagine being full on into selling them. My intention was always going to be to throw them up for free, if I ever finished. Maybe charge for hard work expansions, which I know I will never write anyway. But it seems like free or PWYW is frowned upon?

Haven't read it yet but Daggerheart has my hopes up. Listening to folks talk about it, it seems like so much of its design is a direct answer to the ancient frustrations of dnd. I'm hearing about a lot of its design that is conceptually similar to the past heartbreakers of mine and my friends.

Ambivalent about the WoT show, hated the books. Author I followed (who loves the books) posted a YT video whining about how "people" are "very tired" of the "agenda" in modern storytelling where womens get power and mens get humiliated, so he's glad the show went belly up. I'm bored and I'm tired.

Hm, White Wolf returns. Uh, we'll see what they can do.

They changed the theme song for Charmed on streaming platforms and I need everyone to know that this is fucking unacceptable.

This far into this timeline, I bet you can't make up anything absurd. You can't think of anything that isn't already nonfiction, can you?

Going to start transferring some more of my art here, starting with my Worldbuilding series about the setting of my comic Immeretat. This first part of the Fantastic Mundane is called "Everburning Lanterns in a Sleepless City" #worldbuilding, #webcomic, #illustration, #art, #comic

Know what I was just thinking about? What to say when I go to warp.

I used to want to be a writer, then a game designer, for a living. But I've seen how enormously fucking stupid and condescending people are about creative works (myself included sometimes, to my great shame). Now, I don't want to sell you shit. You're a moron. You know who you are.

Game designers often make posts about their process that I heavily relate to but feel like I have no right to. It's weird.

Actually really disagree w a common Vampire player take that "it's called the WoD, it's sposed 2b dark, darkydark like midnightdark, sotragicdark and you haf2 fail&die or ur playing wrong." Ugh, no, thanks. I mean, it's better than the goth superheroes take but only just.

Here's another new page of the comic, time to float calmly across the dawn-lit sky. immeretat.com/comic/crucib... #webcomic, #art, #comic

Really enjoyed The Residence. Funny, charming, clever. Uzo Aduba's performance as Detective Cordelia Cupp makes her easily one of my favorite detectives of all time.

I've fallen into one of my cyclical obsessions again, this round with Vampire: the Masquerade 5th ed. Light novels, forum quests, actual plays, adjacent games, and the ttrpg books themselves. I like it a lot but I'm feeling some the old frustrations again. Also, the fanbase still sucks. Sorry.

NaNoWriMo, the organization, is dead. Long live NaNoWriMo, the fun idea.

The Bondsman is really friggin good. I was definitely in the mood for a gritty supernatural show.

Wait, hold on. It's been 25 years since The 10th Kingdom released. A miniseries I think many remember fondly. How many times have we seen its like since, I wonder, and what were they?

I finally bought Captain's Log, the solo Star Trek Adventures trrpg. But annnnyywaaaayyy, really gotta figure out what I would say to get the ship underway.

Here's a new page of my comic, even compared to the previous page, torch lit night walks have exploded in popularity. immeretat.com/comic/crucib... #webcomic, #art, #comic

Val Kilmer. :( This sucks. He was brilliant and he's gone too soon.

Look, I agree, treating #vampirethemasquerade like Mafia fiction makes a lot of the game click and make sense. It moves it away from the goth superhero experience it usually ends up as. But, no disrespect intended, I don't actually like mobshit. I don't think that sounds fun, thanks.

New page of the comic today, there's nothing like a torch-lit walk through a military camp in the middle of the night. immeretat.com/comic/crucib... #webcomic, #art, #comic

Let's go with top 3? Yeah, this season cliffhanger of #Severance is in my top 3 All Time Season Enders That Left Me With...Just...the Most Mixed Feelings.

I just posted a new page of my comic! No animation this time but some nighttime lighting instead. immeretat.com/comic/crucib... #webcomic, #art, #comic

Taco Bell used to be my favorite. Then, they got rid of half their menu, inflated prices beyond reason, and installed a self checkout. It's like they just...gave up.

I just posted the 30th page of my webcomic! This one doesn't have animation in it. #webcomic, #art, #comic

Milchick probably won't end up having the story I've wanted him to have from the getgo but who cares because the more I watch of #Severance the more I think Tillman just steals the whole show.

I'm 42. Running out of inspirational snippets that tell me famous so and so was this "advanced" age before they accomplished great creative feat. But you know what? I don't really care anymore. It's fine.

I'm not the only person I know who stopped calling people stupid for fear of being called stupid when I inevitably slipped up. Sure, I then realized it was nice to just give folks the benefit of the doubt but we gotta go back to calling dumb motherfuckers dumb.

Guys, we fucked up when we let them start taking away physical media.
