I mean, look who I'm asking, lol, of course you do. But still.

Now but, two items of interest. Do you have any spiral bound books or zines/pamphlets in your collection and if so how do you organize them?

Kinda like how an adventure provides you with narrative guidance? I think it's a challenge to write either an adventure or the rules of a game well enough that they actually facilitate fun, collaborative, and intuitive gameplay.

Also, trying to be generous here but la-dee-dah good for you if writing systems is easy. And I mean, yeah, sure, almost anyone can sit down and rp without rules infrastructure. I don't think that makes them irrelevant at all. Those mechanisms, tactile or narrative, are there to assist. You know...

One thing in particular I saw was the complaint that characters were ruined and, I dunno, it kinda felt like 7 did some really great character development (esp for some of the lesser characters). After the bungling of some modern prestige tv especially, this felt like a satisfying end overall.

I mean, I think the 6th season set up some cool stuff actually. I just think the faerie shit was woefully mishandled and its conclusion killed off one of those cool setups. And the compound thing is dumb in every show. But 7 wrapped it up pretty clean and gave us a nice, slow resolution.

I was looking for one of those black and white pictures the other day. Coulda sworn it was in the Psionics Handbook but didn't find it. It was of two psionicists on some kind of gridspace that was supposed to represent a mind battle. Maybe I misremembered it? I was only 9 then.

I type it up as APFic and sometimes post it to my blog. I have this block where Solo play is super difficult for me unless I record it for an audience. Prolly bc I'm usually GM for tables full of other players.

So even if I don't end up liking the actual mechanisms, I can appreciate the approach as being something like how we would have done it. Also, I greatly respect that its free and accessible (the cards too, and I do love tactile elements like cards).

I don't mean to be too unkind but when I use regular oracles my brain explodes and I don't even consider myself particularly creative. Ever get the impression that folks who insist upon AI are just creatively braindead?

I know, the capitalist in us is screaming, "but if you sell the moron a thing they hate, who really won that exchange?". I get it. Get your bag. I'm just too tired right now. I hope people choke on all the art they so desperately need to let us know they blindly and uncritically hate.

But, you know, I need to bury these old gripes and just focus on what I love about the game instead.

Fantasy pigmen, orc. Anything else, particularly scifantasy or scifi, ork.
