Yh I hear you, it was giving an older drama vibe, and at times felt a bit outdated. Apparently it's based on a Japanese drama from 2002, so that could explain it. And yes Zo In-sung + Song Hye-kyo is a potent combination ☺️💜.

I liked the drama mainly for the leads. But parts of the story was a bit somehow, especially when you find out how Song Hye-kyo's character became blind in the first place. Also some plot holes, I still have questions. But overall watchable

Lots of political intrigue, betrayals and a satisfying revenge plot, amid side eyes, bitch slaps and some beautiful gowns. The love stories had me in my feelings. And shout out to the cliffhanger endings every episode! I can totally see why the show was so popular #EmpressKi.
