I find as an agnostic that I cannot convince theists that they cannot be sure God exists because they did not come by their belief through reason, but through faith. You can’t reason with any person whose will to faith is more powerful than their desire for truth.

Sorry to butt in, but I find Swift’s observation to be true in many instances. Can you explain why you think it’s wrong?

As SCOTUS said in Houston v. Hill: The "freedom of individuals verbally to oppose or challenge police action without thereby risking arrest is one of the principal characteristics by which we distinguish a free nation from a police state." www.thefire.org/supreme-cour...

I LOVE the image of a bunch of bewildered Marines storming Venice beach.

That’s an internal debate. It’s irrelevant outside your bubble. You’re all Christians to the rest of the world.

No one is asking you to! All we are saying is that Christians are not inherently immune to doing evil. Millions of people identify as Christian, go to church, read their Bible, join the ministry, get baptized, take communion, etc. etc. and still DO EVIL. Real Christians can be evil.

Apostasy is in an in-group term. Protestants are all apostates according to Catholics. Roman Catholics are all apostates to according to Baptists. And so forth. Still all Christians.

Really, truly, you’re the one missing the point. You don’t get to decide which Christians are real, especially based on how good or bad you perceive them to be. The whole point is that Christianity can and does break bad. Please sit with how awful that feels instead of rejecting a simple truth.

Nice joke but this is just an example of lying. Conflating his lies with cognitive decline is problematic in numerous ways.

This is what I’ve been wondering. Trump could literally seize Musk’s space ships and satellites in the name of eminent domain. Deport him and call it civil asset forfeiture? My wife says TACO but I dunno, man.

I’m not a mutual but I laughed, so well done!

I feel like Trump might just deport Musk and seize Spacex as eminent domain.

I don’t think they knew, but it was willful ignorance. There are people who allow themselves to be fooled. Their deliberate self delusion should not be tolerated. But it’s important to see the distinction.

Yea but what else? It makes me laugh to think of Scientologists or Jehovas Witnesses having irresistible cuisine. I guess Mormons have funeral potatoes.
