With the new version of Grease Pencil (V3), a bunch of features got removed while they try to adapt them to the new system.
For example the stroke placement is completely broken in 4.3 but they've put back most of it in 4.4

A big performance boost on texture panting!
Even before any new features. That would be amazing! Because with Ucupaint (that you so amazingly promote btw!) you can do so much already but if you paint on higher than 2k it gets laggy!
