Why would protesters want to go into a federal building? They aren't the Jan 6 insurrectionist. They want people to see them, that's what a protest is.

so, they're wearing masks, but couldn't their license plate be traced?

My teenage self and friends would have been deported every weekend.

Whatever it all is, it has nothing to do with the US or the American people or what we need.

firing people and then hiring them back is so efficient and not wasteful

So...he says he's going to impose tariffs. They call and say, can you not? He says ok, but you have to agree to negotiate with me soon. They say, sure, sure, soon. Meanwhile our economy is in chaos and we got nothing for it. Right?

So these actual gang members would be deported back to the guy they worked for, so that guy could shut them up, rather then them testifying against him. In return, innocent people are sent to a gulag so GOP has racist photo op for their base. It's just disgusting next level mafia stuff.

who gave it to him?

Already called my governor and asked him to do this. Unlikely, but what the hell.

I don't understand their dystopian plot. They can make all the AI they want, but we are all poor. They have all the data and all the money. What are they doing with the AI?

He knows there's a problem and he doesn't want disaster on his watch. So he has to talk about it. But at the same time he has to suck up, this administration can't face any kind of reality. So he's really stuck.

And he's lying about refugees not being vetted prior, right? I mean, I would bet good money that they were vetted as well if not better than these current "refugees."

Just baseless and blanket smearing of libraries. We see this in groups like Moms for Liberty that love to gin up vague fear about libraries by challenging lots of books they haven't read.

But but but! Kamala was undeniably younger, more energetic, more knowledgeable than Trump. She was more progressive, she had a clearer vision. These ppl are full of crap. I don't think they know why they vote the way they do.

As if a balance is inherently good. What if one side is wrong or worse than the other? You've got to have balance because that is a good in itself.

None of mine, but I've texted friends who live in some of these states.

Republicans in Iowa do not hold events without vetting the audience. You can see this is a small event. The fact that Grassley isn't able to avoid this kind of reaction says a lot.

The alternative to him deliberately announcing to enrich his family and friends is that he didn't know he was going to make a sudden reversal on a huge economic policy just hours before he did it. That doesn't seem great either.

So many people did not believe what trump said about himself and what he would do. Worth noting that we should also believe him when he says he wants to do crazy things like stay in office, send US citizens to foreign prisons, etc.
comment in response to post
There's no coming back from that, right?
comment in response to post
While they absolutely should limit his power on this, it's absolutely disgusting that they are willing to stand up to him on the economy but not on innocent people being sent to foreign gulags.

Welcome to the resistance. Get in the streets. Don't expect a lot of sympathy.

There was no cynicism where I was marching. Fear. Disgust. But energy, determination, patriotism also.

More people need to do this. Don't let them go anywhere without having to answer. They aren't good at it! They'll reveal themselves every time.

Don't obey in advance.

What do we do? Can massive public protests stop this?
comment in response to post
Nope. I understand the anger you are speaking from but this is still America. Don't give them that power, even in a comment.
