I shall be there for sure! Will I have a poem written for it? We shall see... 👀😂

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? But who's to say that a woodchuck would chuck wood, even if the woodchuck could?

I didn't feel the best yesterday, but having the pleasure of hosting Voices from the Fountain and hearing so many amazing local performers made me feel so much better. Huge thank you to everyone who came and made the night so amazing! Head to @voicespoetry.bsky.social for details of the next event!

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck..? Hmmm, I wonder??

I've had a great couple of days in London, but being back at work today was tough (and wet). But I've also done my first run since signing up for my first 10km event - in London - to raise money for @cancerresearchuk.org next February!

All I really want is to live on a farm and to write and perform poetry and look after a few goats and highland cows. Oh, and a donkey. Is that really too much to ask for??

Ey up gents and wenches, I'm on the radio, ay I?! The show will be airing on Black Country Xtra at 4pm today and repeated at 6pm tomorrow! It'll also be available on demand on the Black Country Radio website! So gew on, giz it a listen bab.

I have met so many amazing people through Voices. I'll be eternally grateful for the platform Ian gave me to find my own voice, and now to help others to do the same. I love you all, my weird poetry family.

A mix of romance and dick jokes... What else could be expected of me a few days out from Valentine's Day?

I'm really looking forward to performing again tonight. It's like an itch that needs to be scratched 😂 Anyone willing to fund me doing a mini tour??

So guess who forgot to post February's prompts 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Anyway, here they are! The prompts are: - Loving you is like... - Second chances - Momentum - Still cold - Be my Valentine Use one or more prompts and post below or tag us if you post it on your feed! And remember to use hashtag #voicespoetry too!

Open mic at Blue Sheep Books tomorrow and then appearing on Black Country Xtra on Sunday, with Valentine's Day in the middle... I wonder what poems I'll be performing..?

For anyone interested, I'm taking up a position as the poet in residence at Central Perk. Gunther doesn't know yet, but he'll be fine with it... Probably. Voices from Central Perk does have quite the ring though, right? The one with all the poetry?

Today marks 12 months since my admission to ICU. Today marks 12 months since I almost didn't make it through the night. Today marks 12 months since my wife nearly became a widow in her early thirties. But today also marks 12 months since I said no, I'm not finished here yet, let's keep going.

I am super excited for the first Voices from the Fountain of the year tonight. I can't wait to see and hear the amazing talent we have behind our mic again. It feels like ages since we were last there! For details, check @voicespoetry.bsky.social

My brother from another mother Ryan Percox is running a half marathon in aid of @alzheimerssoc.bsky.social If you can, please donate. It's a cause close to my heart too, we both lost our Grandads to the disease, and we'd very much appreciate any support you can give. tinyurl.com/3dtyuuvv

Oooh, how exciting! My first dates announcement on Blue Sky! Here's where I'll be performing this month, if you're interested. If you want to come along and support me and the other amazing talents on display at all of these events, get tickets where needed, and just show up wherever else!

Sooo, what are you writing this weekend? Or have you just finished writing something new? Fancy performing it at open mic? We have 4 slots up for grabs on the night at Voices from the Fountain this coming Tuesday!

Well folks, we're nearly there. January is nearly over. And we're moving into the month of love. I wonder what the King of Romance could be performing at any and every opportunity this month?! 😜 Oh, and maybe I'll be popping up on radio around Valentine's Day too...

It's almost time for our first open mic of the year! And what a way to kick things off, we have music from the uber talented Erica Sofia and 12 fantastic open mic performers!

What a night last night was. But that's enough of that for now. It's almost time for me to do some more poeting, this time at the New Art Gallery in Walsall, with some ekphrastic poetry with the Art Meets Poetry event run by Walsall Society of Artists! tinyurl.com/yuyh88fu

I had a blast tonight at the Wolves Lit Fest Poetry Slam. Gutted to have not made it out of the heats, but the standard was super high and I took a gamble on a new poem I've never performed before. Had some great feedback for it though, and had so much fun watching super talented performers!

Is it too much to ask? All I want is to win a couple of mil on the lottery so I can spend my time writing, reading and performing poetry, spending time with my wife and dog and not having to worry about paying the bills? Oh, and travelling a lot too...

Unsolicited writing advice, no. #1131333: To those of you who are afraid, know this. Every act of creation is an act of courage. By making art, you are joining the fight. You are the resistance.

It's crazy to me that somebody/some people considered my words good enough to put on plaques as part of the poetry trail at Caldmore Community Gardens for the whole community to see. Massive thank you to @pandemonialists.bsky.social for running the workshops that led to such a great outcome!

How do they know me so well?!

I'm looking forward to hearing some of the awesome ekphrastic poetry at the Walsall New Art Gallery shortly as part of the Art Meets Poetry event. And then this time next week, performing some of my own!

Trying to learn new poems. Anyone know why I can remember lyrics to songs I haven't listened to for years, countless useless facts about wrestling and near enough the whole script for Hot Fuzz, but not my own words?!

I'm certain I wouldn't get on very well on The Traitors... I'm too competitive and not personable enough to ever be considered a faithful. I also can't sustain a fake Welsh accent. And I'd spend the whole breakfast eating rather than discussing the game.

There ain't no rest for the wicked.... Performed a poem last night at Blue Sheep Books that I've never performed before, and I'm back at Press Books & Coffee tonight with even more new material!

I am both excited AND bricking it to be a part of this slam! Only my second slam appearance and it's on one hell of a stage. Get tickets, see some amazing poets perform, and watch me too!

Please allow me to introduce myself... My name is Ryan, I'm a poet, semi-professional idiot and full-time bearded wazzock. I run @voicespoetry.bsky.social. I run my mouth quite a lot (at any mic I can get behind). I don't run. I'd like to, but it makes me tired and my knees hurt.

I have arrived! (Whoop and cheer if you feel like it, but I understand completely if you couldn't care less)
