I knew it as soon as I replied - that cottage thing was too far back, but decided to stick with my original guess.

THIS! (as the person who is married to the insufferable millennial™️ who made this post) I could not agree more. Are we just the last generation who have men who haven’t reverted to caveman settings?

To be clear, those events aren’t just 401(k) style monetary setbacks. That specific chain of events corresponding to those stages of development basically means that at each step you got hit by an unprecedented event tailor made to ruin that specific stage of life you’re in at that moment

In these extremely rare cases anything paid to that person would be easily recovered. Also beneficiaries have to keep things updated & if they don’t respond their benefits will be suspended until the agency gets a response or the proof of their death.

SSA already has teams of employees who verify beneficiaries are still alive. Information about this is in the publicly available POMS.

You could choose to not give them permission to destroy the government and our country. Voting for their CR is giving your approval for everything they’ve done and will do. If you cave I hope you never have a single day where you don’t feel immense shame for turning your back on the country.

Ma’am, you are the one who doesn’t understand Social Security. It’s a social insurance program that’s the most successful anti-poverty program in the country & maybe even the world. You pay into it & can collect benefits when eligible, but you can’t just call & ask for a refund. Please grow up.

She was doing her job. You just seem to have a misunderstanding of what Social Security is. It’s not a savings account.
You also seem to be misunderstanding what is happening at SSA. It appears you’re against Trump & Musk, but you’re doing their work for them & taking it out on the wrong people.

You called & wasted the time of someone who is being traumatized at work every day & took up time they could have been helping someone who actually needed it. You’re worse than not a nice person.
And the people who answer the phones are mission critical so they will not be losing their jobs.

Buddy, if you think organizing an “insurgency” is more logistically complicated than organizing a trip to Disney World, I got news for you.

I’m assuming it’s a geographical thing like soda/pop or sub/hoagie. I’m on the East Coast.

I love this, but I have questions about “slug bug” - I didn’t know there was another version of “punch buggy”. Does slug bug have a rhyme that you say along with the punch?

Why would it matter if they used some things that were purchased from Wayfair or Etsy? I really don’t understand why that’s a problem, but maybe I’m missing something?

I think they would be next to the dinner plate for bones or things that you don’t eat (probably fish bones at the time).
You should definitely have a fancy/formal dinner with these plates and serve ribs & fried chicken.

Rep Landsman: "You're just picking on children. Our government is not supposed to be this intrusive. Your government has become incredibly intrusive. You're in our doctors offices banning treatments. You're in our classroom banning books. Now you're in my daughter's locker room"

Rep AOC: "republicans, who have voted consistently against the violence against women's act, who have taken the rights of all women to have control over their own body, who as women are bleeding out in parking lots, now want to pretend today that they care about women."

"To deal with this 2000ths of 1%, it opens scrutiny of all girls bodies, violating privacy and dignity."

Isn’t there an issue with the manufacturer or something? I could be confusing this with something else, but I think I heard that there were some contract or warranty issues.
Still not a defense because it’s Disney & they shouldn’t have contracts that would prevent them from repairing broken things.

I felt achy & tired for no more than 1 day after the shots (which feels terrible when you haven’t had anything worse than a mild cold in years) - I would take that over 3 days or more of being sick & the risk of long-term neurological, cardiac, or immune system issues. I’ve never had COVID.

I had terrible side effects from Moderna that seemed worse with each booster (would still take that over COVID). For my last 2 boosters I got Novavax and had no side effects.
