If you could use a little brightness in your day, I recommend spending some time with sled dog MUPPY. I’m genuinely obsessed with her. She is an icon. She is a legend. Her legs are 4 inches long.

Let’s help Celeste the way she’s helped all of us.

Seriously, creative folks: Don't be afraid to let people know your stuff is out there for them, or worry that "now is not the time for that." People are stressed and freaked out and looking for the things that will give them a moment of rest and joy. It is EXACTLY the time for what we do. Tell them.

First bird of 2025: an Anna’s hummingbird, perched at the very top of a tree, surveying its domain and making that wonderful buzzing call that always makes me look up.

No matter how much skill you acquire, drawing reveals something indelible about yourself that maybe even you don't comprehend. You're confessing, not flexing. We're connecting with your vulnerability as much as your talent. Hiring a robot to spackle over those faults is a cosmic goof.

I have to go to a medical appointment next week where I can’t use my usual 3M half-face respirator, so we did some home fit testing with N95s yesterday. - Tried on: 8 respirators - Fit tested: 4 - Passed the test: 2 (3M Aura 9210+ and Dräger X-plore 1950) I’m pleased to have two options!

One of the many things I love about not cleaning out my potted plants is that they grow together so it looks like a garden. Another is all the volunteers—I didn’t plant either of those ferns. 🌱

Moving away from Twitter and spending more time here. I’m here for watching birds, gardening, baking, reading, making art, writing, keeping each other safe from Covid, learning, and petting dogs and cats.

I’m delighted that my little balcony garden is still blooming away! Snapdragons for my first post here.
