Always Weenie's mom, RIP 2011-2025. Burnt out. Neurofunky. Annoyingly political or annoyingly light-hearted, every day. Everyone gets full human rights without exception or GTFO.

Moving from 8b to 9b and Bay Laurel thrives from 7 to 10. This bodes well! 😁

I'm wondering about the landscaping because of where I'm moving, but if not on the lot itself I bet somebody's growing it around town. I need to actually look at a growing regions chart thingy...

Lol I'm sure there are very large windows in the world but I'm guessing most of us would struggle to make that work

Yup, I have considered a window herb garden there because there are great windows. It's a one-room thing and none of the windows are in the kitchen area, but I am trying to get over my limiting ideas of how to make it work!

Indeed, I will have to check the landscaping in the next place lol

It's always interesting when something from the left is vaguely successful and vaguely spiky to see the right play the "ah, but I thought you were supposed to be nice!" card.
Bluesky's never been nice. What's it's been is "not stuffed with nazis"

Machine learning? Useful. Large language models and picture generators? Not so much.

Ahh disagree because I once knew this old lady who swallowed a fly and then she swallowed a spider to catch the fly and then of course swallowed a bird to catch the spider and so on and so on and if I recall it worked out well.

I remember the moment it dawned on me, in the nasty wake of 9/11 — watching American bombs light up the sky over Baghdad on the evening news — that I could do my country a service by producing a one-hour TV special on Iran, which I feared Bush might target next.

Yeah this is the thing. I came up on the edge of the DC suburbs in the age of The Day After. Until I actually became this old, I had just assumed I wouldn't because eventually we'd get nuked. So this trauma I've worked through and was lucky to have a time when I could.
