My love of underground food continues: I searched Chicago for bean pie man, selling papers & sweets with a side of black liberation. I met with NOI & WD Muhammad community historians, bakers and sellers to get the local history. Also: bean pie ice cream!

One of the funniest reactionary discourses in a fandom is DBZ fans arguing Goku is not a bad dad in response to jokes about it. Folks. He loves his kids but he loves fighting way more and he certainly doesn’t do ANYTHING for them or really think about them. He’s a terrible dad. It’s not just a meme.

In the past day I’ve heard two people who really should know better say they asked ChatGPT for factual info. ChatGPT is not a search engine. It is predictive text based on other people’s stolen writing; its whole job is to make stuff up. Please do not ask it for facts. Tell a friend.

I would lose the Ahmed Ali Akbar lookalike contest. My doppelgängers historically have been very convincing. Since college, people report seeing me at places I’ve never been.
