I've been telling y'all to pay attention to #Idaho. It's Patient Zero for American Nazis. Reason #44 to Boycott the Handmaid State. RadicalRuss.com/idaho

"Who's 'we'," asked Black, gay, Native, disabled, and female people. "Who's 'everybody'," asked transgender people.

Okay, somebody is starting to read the room. More like this, Democrats.

Jeffries: hey the GOP controls the government, absolutely nothing i can do, gonna work on my personal book tour Sanders: brb i am going to personally barnstorm strategic GOP house districts and try to peel off 2 votes so we can block Trump's cuts to Medicaid www.commondreams.org/news/bernie-...

S1E15 Rachel Dratch character #7: MSNBC Commentator Martha Blanch. #30Rock

The last time I was thinking about a governor of Maine, he was talking about Shifty and D-Money knocking up the white girls. Thank you, Maine. Fantastic upgrade.

Rachel Dratch character #6 on S1E13: gap-toothed rachety sex worker. Now I'm just binging #30Rock to get my next Dratch fix.

Hero.

This is for @gtconway.bsky.social Five things I did last week. 1. Took too much ketamine 2. Danced onstage with a chainsaw 3. Ignored my new baby momma 4. Laughed at my own jokes. 5. Neglected all of my children except for the one I use as a human shield.

I don't know what's worse, the gall to think you can gut American democracy and think sending out a $5,000 check to each American will get let you get away with it, or my cynicism in giving it 2:1 odds of working.

Where's Captain America, Superman, and Indiana Jones when you need them?

You mean the guy with the exploding cars, short-circuiting trucks, and exploding rockets can't properly configure an email server?

Part of what frustrates me is that they are stridently in favor of theocracy, and the leaders of our opposition party are regularly posting Scriptures from their government accounts. We have to be the secular side. But we've let Christianity become so infused in government that both sides serve it.

This one really has me thinking...

As a once 6th grade clarinetist and 8th grade bassoonist and 10th grade sousaphonist, I endorse this sentiment.

Fantastic thread. This really is a global battle over whether the world should be a multicultural liberal democracy or a white Christian nationalist oligarchy. In Russia, Trump finds common cause with Putin in hating the non-white, the non-Christian, and the non-straight.

Who fired him? To which party does that person belong? How is Putin benefiting from that person and that party? Democrats. Party of the passive voice.

Bumper sticker just now: *fewer 🀣

A serious left-wing opposition party would be calling for the nationalization of Starlink and SpaceX as critical national security and military defense issues.

As a bass player, I always thought he had the best part of that gig because you can turn that double bass holes-side down and float on it for a while.

JEFFRIES: β€œwe have no leverage” SCHUMER: *pulls out a lime and limply waves it around* BERNIE:

Fun fact: The Blues Brothers cover of King Floyd's "Groove Me" is how I taught myself how to sing while playing a syncopated bass pattern. It's harder than you think. It's three talents, really, playing, singing, and doing both at once. #AT40

Oh, @jackiesue1947.bsky.social @jbelvl.bsky.social, please tell me Bobby Jones covered "Amos Moses!" #AT40 "That's all he got left 'cause alligator bit it Left arm gone, clean up to the elbow." Aw, but it was right arm. Gotta change that.

As an atheist, I would welcome a return of the early 70s hippie Jesus Freaks compared to the current crop of white Christian nationalist Jesus Freaks. #AT40

As a matter of fact, I have seen the rain. There was a fellow come by here just a while ago asking who will stop it. #AT40

This is Bread? Clearly one of their pumpernickel tunes. Nice departure from the usual white Bread with the crusts cut off. #AT40

They're occasionally happens a song on American Top 40 that I've never heard, but a band that I've ever heard? Runt? Really? #AT40

God damn right, Casey! Gulf of Mexico! #AT40

Oh, #AT40, that's even better because I get to share this iconic picture of the band Bobby Jones & The Outlaws. Bobby Jones was a one-armed guitar player missing his right arm up to the Elbow and in the 60s built himself a prosthetic with a pick and could play like Roy Clark. That's dad on the left.

Good morning, #AT40! It's 1971. I'm three years old, and my little brother Matt is 7 weeks old. We are somewhere out on the road as my dad is playing drums for somebody. Maybe it's Orville Couch? Forecast calls for at least three dogs, two Brothers, and some Jesus Rock.
