Super list! I loved The Waiting Years, Maud Martha, and All for Nothing too. So many of the others I want to read.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to get hold of a copy of her short story collection, A VIEW FROM THE ROOF.

Her debut, PASSING CEREMONY, a fragmentary novel dwelling on themes of loneliness, alienation and complex family dynamics is also worth reading.

If I'm not mistaken, Wharton wrote three Jazz Age novels - Glimpses of the Moon, Twilight Sleep, and The Children. A copy of Twilight Sleep was hard to come by, so am pleased it was reissued.

The Faces is very good, as is First Love, The Girls, Rhine Journey. Great haul!

I read the Hermans several years ago and loved it then. Suddenly felt like reading it again, there's much about it I've forgotten. I must read Butcher's Crossing too.

I read the Hermans many years ago, and liked it immensely, but don't remember a thing about it! Very keen to read it again.
