Yes is a left wing city (as are most German cities mind you.) it also doubles as a German Land (state.)

Difficulty is their fixture list (Leverkusen & Frankfurt) plus their poor goal difference.

There are a few Fanfreundschaft examples in German football which often cropped up for historical reasons: for example Bayern & Bochum, Hertha & Karlsruhe. In this case they’ve mostly not been in the same division, but both northern, common dislike of HSV & are clubs both with a left wing outlook.

Normally the Meisterschale is presented on the final day which would be Hoffenheim away for Bayern. But one can imagine there will be a big push in Munich to have it done “dahoam” after the Gladbach game if it has been clinched. Thomas Müller‘s final Allianz Arena bow.

If Bayern (minus suspended Kane) lose in Leipzig & Leverkusen win in Freiburg, then it’s a 5-point gap with 2 weeks to go. Bayern could then clinch it at home vs. Gladbach. So several “match points” to come for Bayern & really a matter of when.
