I recently switched from Cursor to Claude Code and I like it way more. I'm a terminal person who uses Vim, and I didn't want to go back to VSCode for AI coding. Let me tell you what I like about Claude Code. 🧵

This is going to be our main coding workflow next year

This looks so cool

lool, I'm watching Mountainhead. "If you bust a b-nut into this app, it will give birth to a unicorn"

This is so cool

I've been thinking a lot about the future of software developer jobs. I wonder what's going to happen. On one hand there's going to be a lot of pressure to produce more. But on the other hand, AI gives developers a lot of power and freedom to build whatever they want.

This is a really good idea

Wow thank you David!

nice shout-out at App.js conf for @coolsoftware.dev !

Guess who I just ran into the flight to Krakow

Amazon developers saying that their work is starting to resemble warehouse work. I think that's going to be a sad outcome of AI tools, and I hope people recognize they can go towards more fun and creative programming careers now. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/25/b...

Vibe coding over the Atlantic. Neat.

On my way to App.js Conf!! See you in Krakow 🇵🇱

These are the stickers I'm going to give out at App.js Conf. Say hi to me if you want one!

Every software company should have a weekly "what sucks" meeting on Friday, where you look at the product and list out the things that suck. Then you fix them first thing on Monday

I was hoping to practice my AppJS talk on Saturday at a local tech event, but I was just told they can't do it for some reason. Hmmm, what to do.

I know there's a lot of uncertainty about whether software jobs are going to go away. But do developers understand how much more empowered they are?

Niiiiiice. The latest ridiculous thing I saw on Boylston St: a moped riding on the bike lane almost running over a girl on a bike going the wrong way on that same bike lane 🤦‍♂️

I predict a generational divide: As we see more and more AI avatars that look like a real person, older people will find that offensive, while younger people will find that perfectly acceptable. For some reason I think AI generated voice is fine but a fake AI person is gross

I updated my sticker for AppJS conf. Hopefully it gets here in time before I leave. See me at the conference to get one!

If anybody is looking for React native developers, I have some buddies that are looking
