Years ago when I was helping my friends pickup rented musical equipment used for a state fair, I opened the wrong stage door after a show and walked into Loretta Lynn’s dressing room while she was undressing. “Don’t be shy, come on in.” 😳

Fire is out thanks to quick response from 5 fire trucks. A shade tree auto shop is no more, no injuries.
But having ash falling on our property is scary stuff! Glad we are not bone dry at the moment…

That’s great news for your Mason bees!You will soon have enough bees to pollinate all the farmland/woods/orchards around you. I had a so-so year with my bees. Only 70 tubes capped. We’ll see what the cocoon totals are in October. 🐝

I'll count myself lucky as I have rarely seen a house sparrow in my neighborhood. I just did a little research on them and wow, they are aggressive buggers!

I expect and have witnessed Jays and other blackbirds destroying nests but didn’t know house sparrows are also that aggressive. 😞
