Permanent press is supposed to mean wrinkle-free, as in, you iron it once and it stays that way. So it's kind of a delicate cycle that won't put any creases in that you don't want to be there. But I haven't heard anyone use the phrase since the 1970s.

If you sold facemasks with that RFK jr image/quote on them, I would buy!

And the darn thing also isn't ready for prime-time. Meanwhile, the word is out from Rep. Joe Morelle from NY-25 that Muck is looking to steal ALL of the Library of Congress to train AI. Folks, I kid you not.

I read 4th and 5th grade chapter books to my toddler, because I just *could not stand* reading the books that were written for them. It was painful. Honestly. If you want parents to read to their children, you've got to write children's books that parents will want to read.

Discussing VR with my games class last week, I like to point out that claims of inevitably are claims of power--who has the power to resist & refuse the top-down imposition of a tech?

What training does it take to sew the same seam over and over?

UPSKILL?! To sew shirts in a SWEATSHOP?! Wtf do they think we're all doing NOW?! It takes more skill to flip burgers than to sew the same single seam for 12 hours a day, and pays better, too.

Can I ask, how much tech support did you have to do? What app are you using? Everyone's phones work differently, and many in the neighborhood association aren't tech savvy. Some need accessibility options. I haven't been successful with this so far.

I mean, in Indiana, Bernie won the Democratic primary against her. Her hindsight might be 20/20. Not so much those voters, huh?

Upholding the status quo got us to where we are. People wanted change. No one needed a crystal ball to see that. She wasn't just giving warnings, she got warnings, too.The People told her (and Kamala) what it would take to win. Neither one of them listened.

Idk, I think learning the work of understanding it is the lesson, rather than simply understanding it. If I go into a new job or a new environment, or meet a new group of people, I'm working out the world around me the same way I learned to work out Shakespeare....Ok, maybe you're right.
