If it turns out they were going red, white and blue for the American/Brit audience, I think a million Italian people are about to have an aneurysm. đ¤Ł

The plethora of sponsor logos is an unfortunate part of Formula 1, but itâs that guano-esque stripe for the HP logo and the horrid blue IBM logo on the back of the rear wing that makes the whole thing look cartoonish.

You are 100% correct.
For a team thatâs run a livery that has basically never changed for 75 years, youâd think theyâd be better at incorporating the HP logo in a way other than that godawful white stripe.

Agreed.
That being said, consider me (mostly) placated, if they DO bring the screaming V10s back.

Iâm more inclined to believe they wouldâve blackmailed the FIA, as theyâve done repeatedly over the years.

I actually am, given Iâm from the subcontinent. My snippet on the US was because itâs the most well-known example of rationalisation of racism.
I read what you wrote, and wasnât contradicting you. I was emphasising your point.

Thereâs a LOT of history behind the use of the âN-wordâ in the US, and yet weâre at the time when we KNOW thatâs not a word to use in any context.
Thereâs no justification for this sort of behaviour : not societal norms, nor intent⌠nothing can explain away the fact that he used a racist term.

I donât know a word of Dutch, and yet itâs patently clear to me that the term stems from a derogatory view of East-Asian people.
The fact that Dutch youngsters use it that freely is a failure of adults to teach them to respect other cultures and ignore colonial stereotypes.

Are you honestly implying that word doesnât have racist origins?
Quick tip : if you ever find yourself using the words âracistâ and âbutâ in the same sentence, consider not enunciating it.

YUP. The FIA and Red Bull brushed it under the carpet as quickly as they could because, you know, heâs Max.
Quite astonishing, really, the contrasting ways that Red Bull dealt with him and Helmut Marko (re: Perez), and how they handled Juri Vips.

Nah. Racism is âone-strike-and-youâre-outâ for me, and his âmongoloidâ comment is all I needed to know what kind of character he is.
