One of the reasons that Apple and Netflix have superior streaming app experiences (regardless of price or library) is that at their core, they're both software companies instead of movie studios playing at being one

Allegory alert!

I am amazed at how useless Google Gemini is, and aside from the voice emulation, which is quite good, how much objectively worse it is than Google Assistant.

Continuing my weeklong quest to bully @chilis.bsky.social into putting chili burgers back on the menu

What do you call people from Pennsylvania anyway? It's still undecided. Download and listen to our new podcast episode "Heather hasn't seen Groundhog Day" now! player.captivate.fm/episode/3097...

Yes and I’ll add: they’re acting like this because they believe they have exactly one shot, and that it will be gone forever if they lose this round. It’s our job to prove their fears are justified.

They call them noble gasses but I've never seen them hold the door for anyone

Really need all of Bluesky to rise up with me and bully @chilis.bsky.social until they put Chili burgers back on the menu. IT'S LITERALLY THEIR NAME!

LLMs are useful for peeks into alternate universes and not really much else

@chilis.bsky.social bring the Chili's Chili (AKA the Chili's Trip) back you cowards

I like Skeleton Crew except Wim is such a little shit

I just read Trump's cost of living executive order and it's literally the public policy equivalent of Michael Scott yelling "I declare bankruptcy!"

Happy #Severance day to all who celebrate!

I firmly believe that Napoleon Dynamite is a much much better movie if you frame it as Kip's journey of self-discovery.

THREAD: In 2023, I received an envelope with no return address. Inside was a flash drive containing tens of 1000s of secret files. It came from a vigilante with a tumultuous past, who'd conducted a years-long undercover operation. He didn’t tell the FBI or his family. He only told me.

Today is a very good day for unhinged Bsky posts

I don't actually know what noise a llama makes

Love the audacity of T-Mobile telling me my security is "low" trying to gaslight me as though THEIR security issues are MY fault. I have 2FA on and unique passwords, y'all are the ones who made me watch my credit rating for two years.

What I'm learning from being forced to watch advertisements while visiting family: Maker's Mark desperately wants to market to younger people, and Volkswagen wants the coveted gay Asian family market.

Visiting Walmarts out of town is always strange and disorienting. No sporting goods that is not where you belong what are you doing there

Of all the airports I've been to, PHL is certainly one of them

this is funny as-is but imo way funnier when you see his lawyer

I haven't watched anything on Prime since they pulled their commercials bullshit and phew let me tell you, it's fucking awful. It feels like broadcast TV back in the day. Except you can't time shift with a VCR or DVR to skip commercials.

Has there ever been another show that goes as hard as season six of Deep Space Nine and then just absolutely nosedives after its best episode? "In the pale moonlight" is followed by so, so many nothing and stinker episodes it's amazing. I know writing 26 hours of TV a year is hard but...woof.
