know this: there are people I respect & do not follow. there are people I follow & do not respect. it`s up to fate—i make no apologies of it

i always get a little offended when someone assumes i am a uc gundam fan. when that is not true. i'm a tomino gundam fan. easily confused but massively different type of guy

I don't know what I did but "new Super Robot Wars in late August and Final Fantasy Tactics PC rerelease exactly a month after" has to be some kind of karmic reward

Reese's Italian increasingly moving away from the classic stereotype and into its own arcane lexicon

[GQUUUUUUX SPOILERS]

I don't experience grief but I understand what people mean when they talk about how you eventually move past it but it lurks inside you and one day something will just touch your brain in the right way and suddenly it all comes back and rends you with feeling because I've played Civilisation V

*bravely* GQuuuuuuX continued to be good this week

still very funny to me for some reason thar Birdie Wing's climactic final tournament takes place in Lancashire. Just not an Anime Place, you know?

we are pleased to announce we have made the difficult decision to take some extra time to decouple some of the parkour from some of the menus. we also found out marathon already has a story and we'll be senselessly pilfering from that instead of other people's work. eyes up guardians i mean runners

Being more able to discuss robot anime with a wider sphere of similarly minded people has been very good but, crucially, also, very bad.

The only thing better than "oh the fantasy thing was secretly sci-fi all along" is when the fantasy thing is also still a fantasy thing. Like Utawarerumono being post-apocalyptic sci-fi but the entire narrative also hinging on the existence of a real, actual deity.

Total War Warhammer 3 is a game I find very interesting in that it is a game I think is an incredible triumph and one of my favourites of all time but also a game I absolutely refuse to play without so many mods that an official patch is essentially a week's moratorium

Reading a lot of the reviews around Firebreak makes me think that if Left 4 Dead came out today it'd be dumpstered. Less than 10 weapons? Only four maps and you have to play them over and over? No classes? The only reward for replays is scraps of new dialogue from the characters? Dead game.

american watching british panel shows: it’s just funnier. and more human. they know how to laugh at themselves brit watching british panel shows: he’s a terf. everyone here went to cambridge, he’s married to the producer. he should be in jail for tax evasion. the wrong guy on 8 out of 10 cats died

one thing worth mentioning as next fest grows more compulsory for upcoming games and fierce in competition is steam charges $100 to list your game. which was never good but is now completely fucked when the new expectation is you provide an entirely free, polished demo with said fee

Realised that I had at some point picked up Civilisation VI in a sale and finally gave it a shot. Took the duration of the tutorial to discover that I have apparently always been That Person about Civ and immediately reinstalled V. If I want to purchase specialised tiles I'll play Zephon, thank you.

iris always flirting with noctis and trying to drag him out his shell but he doesn't care because he only feels truly understood by his aim girlfriend.............. that is the true teenage representation

Beat Hundred Line's "true route". What a game! Still got 40 endings to go, including the victory lap finale route, but feeling real good about my decision to go all in. I hope they made a squillion yen.

Total War Pharaoh is on sale on Steam for like eight quid at the moment. After the huge mea culpa update they did it's now right up there for historical TWs, fantastic deal for a good game.

Northernlion: "Y'know what? The gods envy us, okay. They envy us because we're mortal, and every second, it could be our last. So don't bring that in here chat, because we will never be here again. Okay?" The game he's playing: "Lets count to 4! 1... 2... Oops! Try that again!"

one of my favourite running gags in Hundred Line is chivalric biker Takemaru angrily demanding women transition so he can hit them

so fucking ready to gain brouzouf dude

we have entered a period of YOU GAIN BROUZOUF

there's a lot you could say about Xenoblade's handling of its themes and drama and such and problems with design and whatever is going on with 2 etc etc but also I think the entire like 300 hour thing is worth it just for the bit in 3 where they see a baby for the first time

cute gag in Hundred Line where the guy who has a robot goes "I mustn't run away, I mustn't run away, I mustn't run away..." and Megumi Ogata's character is like "hey you okay man?"

This hand of mine glows with an average power. Nothing really going on there

A friendly reminder.

Some excellent new freaks in the Lies of P DLC. There's an elephant/giraffe hybrid thing that grows a giant neck made of other animals that made me go "jesus christ!" loud enough someone outside joked "you alright, mate?"
