Man, UI Toolkit is no joke. I have no doubt about its benefits, but I gotta say it’s tough getting started. Very different from “old UI” and the community resources are pretty scarce. Powering through though #indiegamedev #gamedev

I desperately need a solid save/load system, to switch to specific world states. Going to bump that to the top of the board.

One of the worst thing about making a puzzle game, is that you loose sight of whether the game is fun at all, because you've solved the starting puzzles 100s times. #indiegamedev #gamedev

I often find myself spending way too much time on “systems” because it allows me to not make “decisions”. I think this is true for many devs. Just pick one!

Yay. I got the cutscene to trigger at the right place, a dialog continuing right into some movement and abilities from an NPC and some more dialog after. And best of all, it’s modular and can be reused for other cutscenes. The video is too long, but I’ll find a way to show it. #indiegamedev #gamdev

Starting to get frustrated with the cutscene-thing. So many ways to do it, and none of them seems to be good. More coffee!

The cutscene-thing was more difficult than I expected. I want to switch between some dialogue and then have a character do some scripted actions. A lot of moving parts and new features that need to be in place. Hopefully I have something to show soon 😅 #indiegamedev #gamedev

Started work on a dialog system. It will generally be two characters talking to each other. Will use the dialog to reveal mechanics, objectives and story elements. Need inspiration for the UI though, so throw me screenshots of your favourite dialog UI. #indiegamedev #gamedev
