The more I work with it, the more I think you are right. Feels very half-baked. I really like the css-like styling, but Iโ€™m seriously considering throwing in the towel and going back to old UI ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

UI takes time. Makes a lot of sense to build in placeholder art first. I do the same every time. Looking forward to seeing how it ends up.

Weโ€™ve done it a few times, and itโ€™s terrifying! I think thatโ€™s why so many gamedevs are reluctant to do it. Face to face feedback is brutal, especially when talking about YOUR art. I work in software test in real life, so I guess thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m forcing myself ๐Ÿ˜…

My thoughts exactly. I use the new input system for my current game, because I hope to support a range of controllers. It does come at a price of more rigidity, and overall I prefer the intuitiveness of the "old" input system.
