I love this series I binged the first three in a row then took a big break before 4 and then again after 4. I need to process.

I can't wait for spring (I am in the northern part of the US) and outdoor hamock reading!

I like it too! And it comes in fits and spurts for me too this year is a heavy year of big books I'm sure I'll hit a slump at some point

I also picked 50. I'm an avid reader but never tracked before. Apparently I picked too low I'm at 30 so far.

I do the same thing I keep a notebook of first impressions as I'm reading through books

I would comment on some of these points with counterpoints but don't want to ruin your journy!

I have so many more of his books to read through!

I got so many pizzas, I was a voracious reader.

More than fair, I also don't mean to imply what they did was right, either. I am a big believer in information, for all I had just been seeing that sentiment and thought I was missing something.

I totally agree, but is this an example of of a ban? This seems to just be a failure to specifically add it to the curriculum.

That is how it always goes, the second you say it out loud, suddenly find what you were looking for!

I find myself liking to alternate between the big multi PoV Fantasy and single character. Both tickle my brain in different ways when the mood strikes me. Good to know!

For me, I log the place I am starting from (If I bother to log) Mostly because I ALWAYS finish chapters, so I am usually looking at a new chapter page. Generally, I read books so fast, the slight variation in accuracy does not normally bug me too much.

That was most of my February. I went through it tip to tail. I am now a huge fan. Epic, Deep, Expansive and Detailed. It's an exceptional series with an extremely interesting narration and writing style.

I think it was the last book disquiet gods by Christopher Rucchio

I just read the red rising series in January, but I it quickly became one of my favorites of all time
comment in response to post
Same! This will be my first from her, and I HAVE to finish the series that I already started first before I start a new one but excited.

I bought poppy war on sale a few weeks ago! Excited for when I get to it!
comment in response to post
This is a bit less dark more opera, but it's not light by any means but not quite red rising distopian. More galactic empire style scifi
comment in response to post
If you liked red rising you probably will like it breathtakingly large space opera. Christopher Ruocchio
comment in response to post
I have been seeing it pop up as of late it seems my style, its good to hear how good it is, got to finish sun eater, and red rising first!

Agreed, reading (mostly) and is for enjoyment. It will take as long as it takes and everything other than reading is extra and optional.

comment in response to post
A bit on the more darker and space opera style thus far

I had lost my copies, I was just looking at this plus the rest of the Sherlock stories and almost pulling the trigger.

It's unfortunate But where there are benefits, either financial or reputational, it will be a persistent problem.
