and, of course, the existence of actual magic.

If DOGE does everything he tells them to do, it really doesn't matter whether or not Musk's authority is "formal".

They all just said, "fuck it, it's time for a new dark age"

What he actually (probably) means is a president who would blame things on causes that seem plausible to anyone with more than 5 functioning brain cells.

They aren't 'better people' for it, because their inability to adapt to change has caused them to fail at the most fundamental tasks that we put them there to perform.

True, but the *reality* is that this action hurts air safety severely, and the Dems should be screaming from the rooftops about it.

"I think that we can make the laws of the land of make-believe applicable to US politics.. but only after I have assassinated King Friday and put Lady Elaine, Daniel, and Henrietta to work in the mines. Granted, this is only the concept of a plan.. in my make-believe mind"

I've grown to accept that a sizable portion of just about all of the fanbases of stuff that I like are complete asshats. People ruin everything.

Behind the Bastards: Did Magnus really do nothing wrong?

Should have waited two more weeks and grab the big batch of new Eldar models coming out then. That is, if you weren't planning to do that as well.

Surely, their advice failing to pull a win for Hilary Clinton was just a fluke, right?

Word of warning: combat in Witcher 1 is quite janky and takes some getting used to. May want to wait for the remake.

As I recall, Marvel used to have a 'Swimsuit Special' in the 90s. This would work as a 21st century update. I'd be curious to see what Charles has Warlock model in (assuming that Warlock is still alive in X-Men canon.. granted, I don't think that death is necessarily a hindrance).

Well, if UHC owns Mangione, and corporations are people, then wouldn't that mean that this incident was just an act of self-harm, and not murder?

Maybe a breakfast diner (House of the Rising Sun, indeed) that tried too hard to break into the lunch market, with no expertise in doing so, resulting in great strife amongst employees.

Yeah, the cases of that happening that I know of all involved women. And, while I can't speak for any other men, I can firmly say that no doctor who I've seen (and I've seen a lot) has ever tried to pitch that particular diagnosis to me.

Judging from that, and some other cases that I've seen, I think that 'anxiety' is a doctor go-to when they don't know wtf is going on, don't want to sound unknowledgeable, and are too proud to immediately refer to someone who might actually know what is going on.

There seems to be entire army of Chuds whose sole reason for existence is to cruise online video game news headlines for anything mentioning women as protagonists and, every time they see one, roll out their 'Woke is Ruining Gaming' form letter, regardless of context.

It's pretty obvious that the media don't want to dive into the actual issues behind the UHC shooting, for the same reasons that the DNC doesn't want to run on a platform that will actually win them elections.

Well, at least one person came up with a way to give them nothing to lose.

I did have a faint twitch of conscience re: the first thought, but really, actions produce consequences. You make decisions (or are perceived to be making said decisions) that hurt literally millions of people, then don't be too surprised when at least one of them decides to take it out on you.

First thought: At least it wasn't someone important. Second thought: I'm surprised that there isn't a lot more of this happening.

Looks like a new pre-requisite has been met for opening up the next phase of our ongoing cyberpunk dystopia.

Also, Hunter hasn't been in a government position, nor is Biden putting him in one.

You should tell him that Lars shouted, "Yeah, take that, Napster! This is what you get for stealing from me!" a lot, and that he tried to get you to wear a computer monitor casing like a helmet for this, but you refused.

Mine stands on my chest at 6:00 AM and paps me in the face to inform me that he wants breakfast 2 hours early.
