#5albums70sFinal This was a difficult choice. 1. The Stranglers - Black and White 2. The Clash - London Calling 3. The Stranglers - Rattus Norvegicus 4. Gang of Four - Entertainment! 5. Siouxsie and the Banshees - The Scream

The UK's National Insurance Fund Account has a surplus of £86.4bn. It supposedly funds pensions and benefits. But benefits cut, two-child benefit cap, winter fuel payment cut, the 1950s women denied pension rights. Raided for Tory NIC cuts to the rich, NIC holidays in freeports.

Word of the night "consolation"

If there's any consolation in potential relegation it's not having to take part in some Hollywood jamboree. Up The Rip Roaring Potters!

Went into a bit of a tailspin after yesterday's defeat at Leeds thinking that relegation was likely. If it was I wouldn't have got 150/1 at bet365 would I?

#5albums70sfinal Siouxsie and The Banshees - The Scream The Banshees were so different. A fantastic LP. Siouxsie's strong vocals perfectly complimented by some angular guitar from John McKay - who incidentally has an LP out of old and lost recordings (Sixes and Sevens) in May.

#5albums70sfinal Gang of Four - Entertainment! A favourite. Andy Gill's guitar slashing over the solid foundations of Hugo Burnham and Dave Allen with lively singer Jon King they were a potent mix. This LP is a classic.

Workington AFC Cracking day.

#5albums70sfinal The Stranglers - Rattus Norvegicus. After gigging solidly in the year preceding the release the songs were well honed for this debut album. The Stranglers took punk by the throat and released this classic.

Get in! Magnificent 3 points

Reform UK Easter reading: "I was hungry and you said I could make a meal for 30p, I was a stranger and you told me to fuck off back where I came from, I was sick and you said we need an insurance based healthcare system..."

#5albums70sfinal The Clash - London Calling A double studio album no less. Moving on from punk with some ace tunes. For me this moved them to greatness. London Calling to the faraway towns it was just a shame Topper broke his wrist and the Derby gig was postponed. Never got to see them 😒

#5albums70sfinal I think there's grounds to say the Stranglers are up there with the best British bands. This LP, which was their third in little over a year, is magnificent and heralded a darker sound. Post punk from Pre Punks. The original and best.

Question for the Stokies who went today - was Aaron Ramsey on the pitch giving it the big'un at Full Time?

Get In! Vis Unita Fortior

Happy birthday @willsergeant.com Have a great day

What a drummer Clem Burke was. I saw him play just the once and it was incredible.
