It’s sort of his schtick. He falsely accuses others of whatever he’s doing or plans to do so that people are inured to the accusation when it’s accurately leveled back at him.

I think Americans, blessed with relatively stable government for a long time, assume there is someone, some adult, who will step in and make things right before the President does anything REALLY bad. There’s not.

Even if we put aside all of the negative associations Musk has created with X, ranging from neo-Nazis to CSAM, it's just a bad product now. The algorithm's promotion of content is profoundly inorganic, making both creators and readers miserable. It's a website designed for Elon Musk alone.

"It's a bad idea to keep Trump off the ballot because he might respond by leading his supporters in a violent insurrection" seems more a statement of the problem than anything else.
