If it is any kind of fiction, the work should be completed, but we only ask for a sample to begin with. If itā€™s childrenā€™s nonfiction, it can be a proposal. Please check out the submissions guidelines for more detailed information.

Thanks haha! You and Hannah made that happen though, with your incredible vision for the book series.

Iā€™d love to find my first author/illustrator, preferably for picture books. For more info on PBsā€”with an updated section on artā€”check out my MSWL link. Some recent PBs I enjoyed are ā€œA Little Like Magic,ā€ ā€œBig,ā€ ā€œAloha Everything,ā€ and ā€œWhere Three Oceans Meet.ā€ #mswl

Some kind of romantasy or fantasy romance in YA. Standalone preferred but series potential is okay. Would love something without ā€œI must save the worldā€ type stakes but thereā€™s still a solid plot and conflict #mswl

Iā€™m a sucker for royalty storiesā€”secret, just discovered, in hiding, etc. I love contemporaryā€”though fantasy and historical are also coolā€”in YA or MG. An MG childhood favorite is ā€œThe Princess Plot,ā€ and a recent one is ā€œRed, White & Royal Blueā€ but for YA. Romance or crushes are encouraged #mswl

And itā€™s all because Netflix wanted a kids show and too many older people watched JATP (confirmed by Madison on a live recently) šŸ˜

Your voice matters. Your stories matter. I believe in the mission of getting books into children's hands that help them see they're not alone. I think the act of writing is an important tool for a lot of us, for self-regulation and survival.
