We are working hard. We have set into overdrive. A lot of inside drama has been happening, but it's been an adjustment. We will have some goodies for you guys soon. Thank you to all who have been following us. We appreciate you guys and gals; after all, it's you all that makes this all worth it.

Merry Christmas ft. Baptiste and Rajvini from @rebelhousegs.bsky.social (^o^)

Hey everyone! We’ve been slowing down on posts because we’re deep in the trenches. We’re so close to completing a playable demo this year, and we can’t wait to share it with you all soon! Pray for us 😭 Stay Epic! #purgeallheros #gamedev #Indiedev

Isla is finally finished! Fully rigged. Thanks @nickfrdesigns.bsky.social #indiedev #gamedev #3dart

I’ve been a bit quiet these past few days, reflecting on game development. I absolutely love it—it’s challenging and frustrating, no doubt. The two main offenders? Time and money (I know, shocking, right?). But it hasn’t been all bad; I’ve met a lot of cool people along the way. #gamedev #indiedev

Almost there! We finally completed the level and implemented the grid system and timeline. We’re planning to do a dev log soon to explain the battle system in more detail, but this is a great first step." #indiedev #gamedev @luizcarlosfx.bsky.social @artistcube.bsky.social

Show me four games that influenced YOUR current game project. #gamedev #indiedev #indiegamedev

Everyone should have these 2 window management utilities, especially if you have an ultrawide monitor. FancyZones (Part of Microsoft PowerToys): apps.microsoft.com/detail/xp89d... Window Grid: windowgrid.net

"There are lessons that you only learn when you take the leap. Be realistic. Know your abilities and define a scope." The developers of Everdark share their experience developing a game and publishing it on Steam

I Want To Make An MMO Said The Kid: I know we’ve all heard this come out of a young person’s mouth. Maybe some of us have even been at this phase—I know I have. I’m not here to shut down anyone’s dreams, because I’m not a dream killer. But I will say this: slow down. Game dev is a big undertaking.

From Concept to Realization: We finally completed the level design for the demo! This demo will showcase our battle system, which was by far the hardest part to code. We still need to add the toon shader and a few VFX.

Memory Lane: Looking Back A Year These are some of our early concept work from when we started this project a year ago. It’s for our bird-like people, known as the Wingari. #indiedev #gamedev #conceptart

To Promote Or Not To Promote Self-promotion is a necessary part of the process. If you don’t share, no one will ever see your work. But it’s a fine line—a very fine line. Overdo it, and you risk coming across as arrogant, which can kill any interest in your work. So... how do we self-promote?

Narrative vs. Gameplay Is gameplay more important than narrative? Does every part of the story need to fit gameplay? Harmonizing them is tricky, but when one overshadows the other, the experience falters. A game with imbalance feels like a dull sword—it swings, but it never truly strikes.

From Concept to 3D. Isla, your friendly neighborhood Reaper (Thief), is a dwarf assassin with a spunky and irresistibly cute attitude! #ConceptArt #Indiedev #Gamedev @queenofbaguette.bsky.social @nickfrdesigns.bsky.social

The first video game to feature motion-captured animation was Prince of Persia (1989). Developer Jordan Mechner used rotoscoping by filming his younger brother performing the character's movements, then tracing over the footage to create the game's smooth and realistic animations.

Character Showcase: Nasir The Thugish Mage Nasir is the Magnus of our main hero team. A Wingari born and raised on the streets, he taught himself to wield the Omni Pulse after the tragic loss of a dear friend. His journey is one of revenge... and epic manly karaoke! #indiedev #gamedev #conceptart

What Makes A Game Fun, Really? 🤔 Have you ever thought about this while designing your game? Of course you have (I hope)! Otherwise, you might not be developing your game in the most efficient way. I like to use a simple acronym.

From concept to 3D, the team did an amazing job on these! @queenofbaguette.bsky.social @nickfrdesigns.bsky.social #indieDev #ChracterArtist #3DModels #TacticsRPG
