Yes. AND, they won’t react just because the warning comes. They have to get the memo, may also require a friend telling them, personalize it, understand it, probably feel like they have an action they can take etc and/or complain that it’s interrupting The Bachelor (or insert favorite thing here 🙃)

“You’re telling me …” is the exasperated start to my disbelieving reaction to something unbelievable ridiculous one of my kids did when they were teenagers …

This is what we want. I will take this any day. This is a good thing. We were ready. We can’t afford to have any lack of awareness in the other direction, where we have tragedies that we could have helped prevent. Some of us get it.

Maybe Dennis is the 6%?

It happens so fast! One day you’re “early career”, the next you realize 20 years of hurricanes have turned your brain to thinly sliced Swiss cheese.

I just spoke to someone struggling. If you’re in a similar boat, I truly hope you can take care of yourself the best you possibly can and thinking of yourself, first. Lean on each other if you can. No one can muscle through this alone. But thats a strength, not a liability. Also the puppies. 🐶

We haven’t even begun the busiest time of year. That starts, tomorrow. This feels unsustainable in the best of takes. Not complaining, this is what we do, but this isn’t the way to do it. You want your team going in to a game ready to win, not demoralized. Please send puppies, kittens, coffee.

Meanwhile we have, once again, unprecedented decades of unprecedented times. I could go for boring, precedented, times. Feeling like there’s an “end in sight”, times.

But. This is hurricane-level mind melting stress because we are human. We’re tired. We see all the good and bad being said and happening.

It’s the absolute best experience, too.

She also has: Beyonce, Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift, anything to which I’ve said “I used to listen to them in the 90s” and a story follows, and songs she secretly likes but doesn’t want on her Spotify wrapped. Or the other way they all see what their friends are listening to. 😂

It’s (according to what my teenager put together for me in the car when she OCCASIONALLY compromises on songs she knows I like and she “doesn’t hate” or tolerates) heavy on Fleetwood Mac, she put Frank Ocean on for me, beabadobee “she’s canceled so I don’t want my friends to see it on my list”…

So, my daughter (13) actually has one for me that she’ll play in the car for me occasionally. 😂

Private/public sector collaboration is an excellent example of the close integration of the weather enterprise. And another reason why hamstringing one big part of it hurts everyone.
