@rasterweb @wodhxnd I’ve tried the git sync plugin and it works great. I tried the couchDB sync plugin and I found couchDB to be difficult 😅 I also preferred gits diffing algo than the strange one the couch plugin used.

@moopet I don’t pretend to know the impact but I’m game to try.

@moopet honestly the conversations I’ve had about changing spending habits because of this have been really interesting. We’ve been pushed towards the immediate purchase model vs the “make a list for the next time we take the wagon into town”. I’m thinking of putting a dry goods shopping list […]

@jerry I’ve had family who would have received your call at some point, I would call, get your issue on the list, the top topics they care about are the ones people call about. She might not do anything, but it will eventually threaten her enough she’ll have to address it.

The only difference here is that I've added some anchor pieces to the back legs. Time to figure out a cut list. I wish I could color each size a different color. As it is I just echo whenever I call `two_by_four()` but sometimes BOSL2 will call your modules more […] [Original post on toot.cafe]

I of course used it to improve my #openscad skills and read up on bosl2’s attachment and position features. That makes this a lot easier to work with.

My final thoughts are; - Half the buildings get destroyed because the Japanese accessibility standards never considered Kaiju. Godzilla is just trying to get around. - The breadth of plots, monsters and alliances means you can pretend to be any Kaiju with anyone being a friend or enemy however […]

I’ve heard it’s to do with a popular style of Japanese play that exaggerates a lot of elements. The craft of the masks and puppets were the show, it wasn’t suppose to be realistic. I’m embarrassed I don’t remember the name of it. #monsterdon #godzilla

A big part of the earlier movies are the craft. Nothing like this had ever been done before. Sure they could have used b-roll of real tanks but creating dozens of rc tanks with fireworks, or an entire city to be destroyed was a different class of artistry and […] [Original post on toot.cafe]

And then there are the tropes that persist through the dozens of movies. The very first Godzilla (Gojira) used radio announcers and scientists talking to reporters as exposition was repeated constantly in so many movies even today. Much of the Godzilla movies in […] [Original post on toot.cafe]
