We’re seeing media bias because transportation accidents = clicks on articles for news agencies. I understand your anxiety well though, I have it and I’ve talked to others with concerns as well.

Thanks! It was fun illustrating in a more loose and colorful way than I usually do. This piece is done all in oranges and greens!

Completely understand. The day of the American Airlines and helicopter crash in D.C., my partner was returning from a business trip in LA. Anxiety was through the roof! Just trust in the airline pilots, attendants, and ground personnel who have so much training.

Yep! Some magical kids get to save the world with dinosaurs. Oh, and a talking cat.

Do not forget about media bias and reporting on accidents. It looks like planes are falling out of the sky because media is reporting on it like they are. In reality, it’s still the safest way to travel.

When it comes to comics creation my absolute favorite bit is inking. The joy found in a fluid line stroke, superb spot black, or well hatched marks, is unparalleled.

In short- support your local public libraries! Visit often, check out books, attend events. You can donate books to school libraries too. Just ask the librarians and they have mile-long LISTS.

Is this poorly worded, yes. But perhaps its an indication that they library is short on popular books and trying to encourage checking out non-fiction or other fiction books outside of popular circulation. Everything on this list are the most popular choices for kids at our library.

Would absolutely love to see an anatomy of Cryptids book!

Would be so into watching a cryptid dating show. Like, who would be into who? Would Mothman be into the Snallygaster? Also curious what other fun riffs you and your sister came up with!

I have story outlines written out and script my work largely in the thumbnail phase of work. Sometimes in the layout phase stuff will be added, but that’s pretty infrequent.

Second this! I joined the “Friends of the [city] Library” last fall and it’s been a joy. Really a great way to work with the community.

We definitely need some optimistic sci-fi stories right now.
