If it’s a deepfake that’s clearly taking the piss with and not trying to pass as real then I’d kind of class that as free speech. The intent of the work matters a lot, as with a lot of copyright

It’s not the first time, celebrities have historically been the targets of people using their likeness to make it look like they’re giving their endorsement to whatever product.
I think we can also have a carve out for stuff that’s manifestly a deepfake, like puffer jacket pope.

They did get advance notice of the bombings by trump so I wouldn’t be surprised if they evacuated staff too.
Or if they were injured, Iran just opted not to report on it. It’s not a country with a famously free press.

They can just keep doing this basically forever, it’s such a waste of time trying to bomb it.

The “pallets of cash” weren’t taxpayer dollars they were frozen Iranian assets being unfrozen.
To be clear US law does not turn frozen assets under sanction into US money, it’s just money that can’t be spent. To actually confiscate money would be a different legal kettle of fish.

It’s not like it’s illegal for him to do that, but the whole point of even having a party is to pick a candidate and then pool your resources behind them so your party wins.
Cuomo behaving this way defeats the purpose of even having a party.

Yeah but that means he, as a supposed democrat, will be spending money and resources that will compete against the democrats. So he accepted money as a democratic candidate, and then used that platform to run as an independent. In politics it’s called “a bitch move”.

It’s like - we can’t even have a credible conversation about anyone’s legal status or a legal system reform if people are too scared to go outside. We have to put fires out before we can start over rebuilding this.

I would like that too but right now people are freaked out. Masked and plain clothes ice agents deporting people? Lots of *credible* reports of deportation as retaliation for protesting?
Maybe it’s a case of ICE moving fast and breaking things but it LOOKS very Gestapo-y.

They already did. The whole point of a primary is so the party picks their candidate. He’s not the democratic candidate.

He’s already city comptroller- I.e, the city’s CFO. If NYC was a country (and it’s more than big enough to be) that would make him like the minister of finance. Even if he ran for the same position he’d be in a position to do a lot of good

I’d definitely pay to see some non canon slice of life of just the characters chatting and playing around. Especially a certain former member of private school who I’m not naming for spoiler reasons xD

Like I’m not Jewish, but hopefully I’m not wrong in saying *nobody* should be in charge of what is and isn’t antisemitism except Jewish people. Right??
Someone give me the audacity of a white cis man!

That’s an understanding I’d be way happier with. Instead of this always being about deportations and arrests, something like “hey, you fucked up the paperwork, here’s the correct paperwork and maybe a fine, go fix it”.
