Funny, I've just been re-playing all of Bruce's albums and I'm starting to think that "The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle" may be his finest (or at least most ambitious) album. The sweeping aural vistas are pure artistry. That or I can't get enough of "4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)"

Realistically speaking, how many states are left when all the states who want out get to go? Six maybe? Those farming states in the midwest are starting to understand that tariffs and cutting food aid to the world isn't going to be good for them...

That's brilliant! Greenland is five times the land area of California, so the real estate developer will be getting a great deal, right???

Sold my Model Y in October when it became clear that the CEO wasn't stable.

Very telling that there's never a list of all the fraud going on. If there were so much frauding, they could just publish a massive bullet point list so we could see just how smart Elon and his young friends really are... (hint: "We don't agree with this" isn't fraud)

Where the hell did DOGE get all these highly qualified staffers to run a federal agency on short notice - and were they at all screened?

Look, I'm as lefty-lib-progressive as anybody but this is nonsense. Changes to the management of the FAA would take months to effect results - the institutional inertia is significant. This over-the-top nonsense undermines real concerns about broader changes by the new Project 2025 administration.

I stopped playing connections a few weeks ago and my mornings are much more pleasant! It's five minutes of frustration that really wasn't much fun, so why am I doing it?

Remember, this is the huckster who promised us "Full Self Driving by December" every year of the seven years I was a Tesla owner. He's talking out of his ass but the enthusiasm is contagious - right up until your car pulls in front of a train while you're not paying attention...

Every season they don't cast me is a missed opportunity to break new ground - let's see if they make this mistake again next year...

Are you trying to start a religious war, or what?

Thank you! I keep forgetting to cancel my Citi card (for terrible service) and now you've given me a reminder that'll stick!

100% Hank - good point. (I'm biased; I work supporting a newsroom and I know the lengths they go through to get it right. Get your news straight from the professionals.)

Makes me regret that I can only quit once.

Having just spent a few months learning Swedish for an 8 hour visit to Malmö on December 13th (Lucia), the hardest part, by far, is deciding which letters to not pronounce. Otherwise it's a quite logical language and quite enjoyable.

Am I just bad at navigating their UI or is there no desktop equivalent of Trending Topics?

Now I understand - at first I was disappointed, not knowing that there was a sequel to "The Man in the High Castle", but now I see what you've done. I like where you've taken that logic and being a rabid PKD fan, perhaps this explains why current events make so much sense to me...

I miss Tom Scott! When's the movie coming out? 😉

No, you have a cat. Cats are clearly the work of the devil and a Christian book author would not allow a cat in their house.
