Charlie Angus - The Resistance is my new substack forum where I will take a deeper dive into the issues of resistance in this new dark age. substack.com/profile/2620...?

Here's my latest reflection on a lesson I learned from a woman who was in the second tower on 9/11. When the world is turned upside down taking action is the only way to survive. Our democracy is under threat but politicians are still living in 2024. charlieangus.substack.com/p/no-return-...

Donald Trump just fired Paul Martin - the Inspector General of USAID - for issuing a report indicating that half-a-billion dollars worth of food for hungry people around the world was about to spoil. So I guess the best thing we can do in response is to share that report far-and-wide.

To our southern neighbours: this might help you understand why we don't want to be part of U, S, or A. youtu.be/WMxGVfk09lU?...

Convicted felon Trump continues to go after Canada. Hey asshole: we're not interested in joining U, S, or A. #fuckofftrump #canadastrong

I love you Canada. I never doubted that we would stand up to the thug. Now lets keep it going.

When the temperature drops to -18 and the snow is deep and the sky is clear, there isn't a place I'd rather be on the planet than in the hardrock mining hills of Northern Ontario. It's sauna time.

MFer I grew up before NAFTA. I didn't have an avocado until I was 15 years old. I ate lunch in a Zellers cafeteria. I thought Robin Hood was just a guy who made flour. I was made for this moment.

Enjoyed the shit out of my pre-purchased Florida orange juice this morning. I'm going to miss it, but well ... some things are much more important. 🇨🇦

My Mom is a miner's daughter. Her whole family fought Nazis. She was walking through the snow with her walker when a woman asked her,"Will we survive Trump?" "Of course we will," Mom replied. "I don't need asparagus. I'll eat root vegetables. We've done it before." That's Canada. #strongasfuck

Books are humanizing; social media is radicalizing. Books may appear passive, but they are energizing. Social media may appear active, but it numbs and stupefies.

First they came for the immigrants, and I spoke out, because I’ve read the damn poem before and I know how it ends.

-30 C this morning, but my car started. Hopefully the next 4 years will bring other successes, because lots of adversity is in the forecast.

Snow and ice accumulation around the windshield wiper pivots is the bane of my existence. Death of democracy is merely a nuisance.
