This isn't about traditional business; it's about whether the foundational strength and long-term vitality of the nation are being traded for transactional, immediate gains. What are we left with when the "assets" are broken down?

Deregulation: While sometimes framed as promoting growth, extreme deregulation can strip away protections for workers, the environment, and consumers, essentially externalizing costs for short-term profit.

Debt and fiscal policy: Increasing national debt without corresponding investments in long-term growth or infrastructure could be viewed as leveraging future resources for immediate political or economic advantage.

* Trade wars and tariffs: While pitched as strengthening domestic industries, critics argue these can disrupt global supply chains and raise costs for consumers, potentially extracting value from one area to "strip" it for another, rather than fostering organic growth.

The erosion of trust in institutions: From the justice system to federal agencies, repeatedly undermining public confidence can be seen as weakening the "intangible assets" of a functioning democracy.

When we look at certain policy directions and rhetoric, it makes you wonder if a similar mindset has been applied to the United States and its economy. Consider:

Is the American economy being treated like a distressed asset? 🤔 The concept of "vulture capitalism" describes a business strategy: acquiring something on the cheap, stripping its assets, and selling off the pieces for short-term gain, often at the expense of long-term health or stability.

🚨 WALMART RAISING PRICES DUE TO TARIFFS “We will do our best to keep our prices as low as possible but given the magnitude of the tariffs, even at the reduced levels announced this week, we aren’t able to absorb all the pressure given the reality of narrow retail margins,” Walmart CEO says.

@governorwalz.mn.gov thank you for your wonderful message. I really hope you do run for President. This is exactly what I was talking about. You have a clear message and you make it plain, you say black people and poor people, which we really need to address directly please 🙏🏽 run! We need your voice

@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.socialHello sir, Thank you for all that you're doing. I’d like to suggest revisiting a talking point: the economic issues tied to Trump’s false claims—especially regarding the wall he promised to build and how some MAGA supporters still believe those lies.

@sanders.senate.gov sen. Sanders, can we start having conversations about that? The price of gas now in minnesota, it is three dollars and thirty nine cents a gallon. If it was a democrat, they'd be having a fit.

@sanders.senate.gov at this time and looking at our young black people in America. I feel it's your best interest to start addressing them as well? It has been shown that they will make less money, then their parents and grandparent. Besides ACO it would you should work jasmine crockett

@sanders.senate.gov mister sanders I wonder why it seems that you don't like to address the poor it seems as if you are addressing the working class, which are always going to for the most part vote. However, at eighty five plus nine voters, we're the poor.
