There’s a man I meet in my dreams sometimes. He’s a chef down in San Antonio. He makes the most wonderful grilled shrimp tacos and guacamole. His restaurant isn’t a restaurant. It’s his home, and it’s an outdoor yoga studio with a view of the ocean.

If you're just starting out in #sounddesign, try practicing the entire PROCESS, not just a narrow, specific discipline: the decisions you'll need to make at in spotting, designing, and mixing. Get used to killing your darlings and making hard decisions. Finish, reflect on how it went, learn, repeat.

#gameaudiodevtips #gameaudio 15. when you're "finished" designing a sound, take a step back and see if all your layers or plugins are actually doing something. check what you can simplify. sometimes things just add mud and reduce clarity. eliminate what isn't doing anything in the end product.

Just know that, like your car or your home studio, even the fanciest of studios needs to shim random objects (and even light fixtures!) with cardboard or fabric to keep things from rattling.
