Frankly I'm glad it's taken this long for us to get housing, because now the devs have the resources needed to make a system worth using.

It's clear they really took the time to research housing in other games. They saw what people could do, what players wanted, the lengths players would go to (ie. using mods/plugins) to achieve the results they wanted...
And they incorporated it into the system.
