How reliant is Ukraine on Starlink actually? I don’t think the US has as much leverage as they think in these negotiations. The negotiators are mostly pundits with one of the most myopic world views in a very ideologically isolated country. I don’t expect they will achieve much.

SCOTUS is done for. I wonder how they’ll feel when no one is listening to them any longer. Will they be surprised? Or will be they wave a sign saying Mission Complete?

They want to pretend Bluesky doesn’t exist for as long as possible. A moderated platform is not in the interests of their owners. They need the mixture of blatant falsehoods, racist language, and class segmentation to retain the power of their owners. Participating here doesn’t serve that interest

It’s obvious to everyone that the senile orange man has no say in anything. He’s following orders. Is even consider it to be elder abuse.

You must ban Twitter and Meta platforms to save your democracy. The losses will be worth it. The sanctions will be temporary. They have ruined our democracy and now they’re trying to purchase the ruins.

What happens to federal employees when they’re fired unjustly? Do they just disappear? Or do they become radicalized and heavily armed?

You assume that those in power are interested in advancing society. They are not. They think the best days are behind us, and they’re out of ideas. They think the only way forward is mental enslavement, followed by political enslavement, followed by physical enslavement. They have no goals anymore

There are a lot of interests who see restricting knowledge from as many people as possible as in their own best interest. There’s a very clear and obvious group of people who think that only “certain people” should possess knowledge. Their goal is to restrict access as much as possible.

These people do not understand negotiations. They just want to feel powerful and if they feel powerful they’re perfectly fine with losing the negotiations. Idiots, in the classical sense.

Lots of bots too. It’s pretty insidious ngl. Lack of any moderation and the ability to just openly spread disinformation is so politically and socially damaging. I think it’s up to us to move to platforms that have an internal consciousness, willingness to moderate. And encourage others do move too

It’s a dynamic situation. Truth has only 6.5M active users. Blue sky has 31M and growing. Twitter has 75M in the United States and it has plateaued. Truth isn’t going away but neither are we. Around 3M Americans moved to Xiaohongshu recently where there is less censorship of hard left ideas. Dynamic

President Elon is a ketamine addict, so I doubt he’ll get very far with this. Also, govt AI is spoken for Defense has the largest potential. Apple, the one doing nothing, is playing it smartest here. The administration will exhaust all possibilities immediately and start to degrade. 6-7 months.

NYT is doing everything it can to normalize far right extremist ideas. Ultimately they support capital and only those with the most. The idea that they’re an independent source of information for liberal causes is completely false. It’s only their recent historical image.

The Dump administration is 80% incompetent people, with a few people who know what they’re doing who will lay low and try to make things function as best they can.

It’s a SKILL ISSUE in this administration. They simply are not competent.

Paul do we need the Democratic Party right now? I’m suspicious that they’re really not pulling for any kind of real resistance. They seem so unwilling to use all of the available tools to counter this corrupt administration. They aren’t even creating any new systems. I think we need NEW institutions

He’s a foreigner who needs to be ousted. His influence is too great and his companies need to be nationalized NOW.

For those that don’t, do we have a list to put them on?
