Interesting. I always thought it was preferred to speak to a staffer over voicemail. I just figured with the urgency of today’s vote, I wanted to make sure that I was heard. I know that they checked their voicemails. I wanted to be angry but I actually ended up crying during my call.

I did see another senator post that the same thing was happening to the people trying to call his office and people thought that they were hanging up on them. I would try again ❤️

that is strange. I did get the canned message, but then I pressed button to speak with staff in DC office…. I think. I’ve been calling so many people I might have that wrong. I assumed if no one picked up it would forward me to voicemail, but that never happened.

DC office finally picked up! For anyone wanting to know it took between 15 and 20 minutes, but I did speak with the staffer. That is encouraging because maybe they are swamped with people calling!

For those Curious, I calledFetterman’s DC office. I had to wait between 15 and 20 minutes, but a staffer did pick up! If you have the time, wait on hold! I was about ready to give up because there was no way for me to voicemail. Resist! Persist! Fight!

It should be very clear to every Senate Democrat that any vote for Cloture will also be considered a vote for the bill.
People aren’t going to be tricked with procedural games.
They know exactly what is going on.
