Outlets are terrified to let writers be too independent, to have too much of a voice, to say too many opinionated things, in part because of advertisers, in part because a writer with a following can leave, despite defined, interesting voices being *why people read stuff*

Increasingly enjoying that as I get older I'm just getting radicalized more and more to the left, because I can witness reality.

It's just pure FOMO. That's all it is. An otherwise varyingly flawed but mostly accepted and enjoyed product has been flushed down the toilet to generate FOMO.

So stop bitching about it and just leave already.

Parents, you are standing at a fork in the road right now. If you buy your kids the Harry Potter video game, they'll grow up to be big maladjusted losers who only read bad YA fiction as adults, if you buy your kids Yakuza 0 they will grow up to own a cool jacket.

I think this is more of an issue of corporations not caring about the character of their Executives/Directors/Leads/etc. than a specific Western GameDev problem.

Such a fantastic game. Still hoping one day it gets a Steam release so more people will play it.

UPDATE: More than two months after they were ordered to facilitate Abrego Garcia’s return, DOJ’s Yaakov Roth, Drew Ensign, and others proclaim that the Trump administration defendants “have complied with the Court's order.” storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Genuinely think its worth considering just getting a Steam Deck instead. I'm not trying to shill the platform, just think the initial upfront cost gets you such a massive library of good, (and more importantly cheap) games that run without issue.

Upside it was a great reason to buy the Steam Deck.

DOGE employees represent an enormous security risk to the Trump administration's plans as of this afternoon. There's no way he can keep them around.

I can almost guarantee that someone in the DNC is going to say "we should bring him over to our side of Leadership!" because if there's one thing the DNC is incredible at, it's picking people that everyone universally despises to be in positions of power.

That Top 10 is really doing a lot of talking here.
