That's an easy one to cure. Slap them and tell them to call you "SIR." That's always worked for me.

I saw Maureen Stapleton in THE LITTLE FOXES in 1981 for the then-unheard-of ticket price of $30. At curtain call, the star, Elizabeth Taylor, received scant applause. Ms Stapleton came out and the audience roared because she gave a noteworthy performance. Elizabeth received a $50,000 weekly salary.

Judy and her boyfriend, Gerry Mulligan, from their album, HOLIDAY WITH MULLIGAN? It was recorded in 1961 and released by DRG in 1980. I have it somewhere. I like her version of "Pass That Peace Pipe." The song was written for Nancy Walker and Gil Lamb in GIRL CRAZY. (1942) Never used until 1947.

Three blocks from my house. Imagine being a brown Latin citizen, having to go grocery shopping while these fuckers roam about grabbing people and tossing them into vans. The Home Depot raid resulted in the arrest of 26 people. And Congress does nothing to protect anyone; there is only silence.

It is worse here than you can imagine. Brown people are being picked up waiting at a bus stop and going about their business. No names, no warrants. An attempt to enter a Dodgers game parking lot to arrest brown people working there or attending a game? Words cannot convey how inhuman this is.

I love the video. A neighbor gave j/o parties in his home, part social and part sexual, in the other rooms. I fit in. Watching the video, I no longer feel inclusive and realize that I have reverted to the shy person I was many years ago. I have some work to do to recover my sexual self-esteem.

No. 1 Sheridan Square existed yards away. I had never been to a gay bar before or one behind a locked door; some gained entry, others did not. The door opened and slammed in my face. I was desolate until the door opened and a voice yelled, "Get in here!" I discovered there were others like me!

I have never seen that photo of me taken in 1990 when I was forty-six, still around, showing off at nearly 81.
