Kinda nuts where I look at the salaries in Vancouver for IT and they haven’t changed -at all- since 2019. And like um…there has been a lot of inflation in the last six years and wage growth is nonexistent. Kinda bs tbh

Big agree. DHS has long been pretty sketchy, but seeing the stuff coming out in DHS press releases, the behavior of officers, the rank and file management of the department is all in cahoots. The whole lot needs to go. State Department needs a good fucking look at too jfc.

Honestly, given the current climate, I'd advice US citizens to get a passport card. It's been the most effective 'fuck off DHS' tool I've had. I've dealt with Border Patrol twice in the Peace Arch park, and showing that gets them to leave me alone real quick.
