Sometimes as a bonus of my autoimmune disorder, my right wrist gets inflamed. The only thing that seems to help is immobilizing it with a brace. Luckily, this ain’t my first rodeo, so I strapped this sucker on immediately. I should be ok in a day or two. Meanwhile I can feel a bit like a cyborg.

It it wasn’t for Medicaid, I would be dead. I would have died three years ago. I’m immensely grateful for the program my tax dollars helped fund. Medicare is keeping me alive now, along with Social Security disability. Without them, I literally would not make it.
